Well if he's the next Bullard then he should be in the starting line-up before too long!

If Walt plays pretty decently, which I assume he will, Langhi will most likely just get bench minutes.

In the unlikely case that Walt starts sucking, and Langhi catches fire, then Langhi will be in the starting lineup before long.

But, its better for Langhi to come off the bench... He's just a rookie afterall. He needs to learn the NBA game first.

But he does have some skills and does have the potential to start for us... just maybe next year.

Hydra, Bull plays a lot of 4 (more than most people realise!) - imagine having Bull and Langhi out there at the same time!!

What about the Bull's minutes. He is often in there in the fourth quarter because of his proven 3 pt shooting ability.

    Dr.N,

I can see Langhi and Bull on the floor at the same time with either Steve & Shandon or Moochie & Cat. Something tells me with that much outside fire power at SF/PF, we'd need Dream in the post to keep some floor balance.

I hope we get to see Langhi and Bull together more often than once every 10 games for 4 minutes at a stretch.

Walt is likely to start and finish the season starting at Small Forward. I don't see that changing this year unless Walt is absolutely devoted to not playing defense. Langhi appears to have a great deal of talent, but I don't see him getting enough minutes to prove much of anything this year. Maybe 10 minutes a game.

Let's face it. Williams is the starter. Anderson will play 40 minutes a game, and will have to share time at the 2 with Mobley, so alot of minutes are coming at the 3, and Bullard is a proven veteran who knows Rudy's system and shoots light-out from the arc.

Rudy brings rookies along slowly, given a choice, so Langhi won't see too much time, as much as we'd like, anyway.

From Michael Murphy at http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/teams/rockets/ :

As it stands now, Walt Williams, Matt Bullard and Shandon Anderson will get the most time at small forward, leaving precious little time left over for anyone else.

Hey guys I think that langhi should be thrown straight into the fire. Let him start. It's not like walt's defense is so great that langhi w/ be a defensless scrub. The reason why I say that we should start langhi is because at the end of the season he will not be prepared for the playoffs, if he doesn't start. In the playoffs only the top sfs r goin to be there and he won't be used to playin against the tough sfs. I dont think the rox will get past the second round but we will make noise. So it is important to start langhi and get him used to playing the top sfs in the league rather than just throwing him in there during the playoffs. What do you guys think?

I think it is unfair to Langhi to say if he doesn't start he will be unprepared for the playoffs.

Does that mean the rest of our bench rookies will be unprepared as well....or for that matter every other teams' bench? Langhi will command some minutes and learn the offense in time. He has to also learn the NBA game.

Langhi is a nice player but it's a little premature to be talking a starting posistion. Especially with the way Walt finished out the year. He obviously found his role in the rotation. Chemistry goes a long way in TEAM sports. Besides, there is no way Langhi is prepared to handle the starting sf in the league. I do hope he gets enough minutes to live up to all the hype awarded to him above. Look foward to it... You must BELIEVE!
