Of course. His value is sky high right now and if Morey can get that star by including Bev in a trade, he'll do it.

Honestly I feel like he'd probably shop Lin. Rockets seem to like moving our starting PGs every year.

    2007-08: Rafer Alston
    2008-09:Alston to Aaron Brooks
    2009-10:Aaron Brooks
    2010-11: Brooks to Lowry
    2011-12: Lowry to Dragic
    2012-13: Lin
    2013-14: Lin to Beverly?

You can't shop minimum salary players. It's the worst move a GM can make. Role players on the best contracts in BB only net u 2nd rounders, from good-great teams. No value in that. Parsons/Beverley/Smith stay, everyone else gets released. White will get salary dumped, and either Jones (most likely) or Motiejunas will get traded along with Robinson. U get the Star to sign, then trade for the other Star with intermediate contracts, but u don't trade the min guys, u keep them as long as u can.

I think some people kind of misread Beverley. I honestly love him as a player, he brings a lot to the table. Good D, tenacity, hustle, rebounding, fairly reliable 3 pt shot. I still feel like I wouldn't want him as my starting PG, I mean maybe over some people, but still not over Lin. Bev is not really a PG that I would trust running an offense as you would with a true starting PG. I feel Bev's biggest contributions would come as a really good backup PG, or playing at the same time with the starting PG like McHale has done with him and Lin at times.

So, if you get rid of Lin (which I think would be a mistake, really think he will have a great season next year) I don't think you can count on Bev to fill that void. You'd need yet another PG whose forte is initiating offense.

It looks like ppl want to trade Lin. If u don't want Lin, I'm sure the broken and old lakers would want him; although, i doubt Howard wont stay in la.
