affect/effect I just avoid writing the word if I can. I've had the difference clearly explained to me dozens of times but I always forget it for some reason.
I get it correct when I'm speaking, but if you give me an example and ask me if you should use less or fewer, I will have a hard time getting it right. I also still sometimes do the "L" with my left hand when giving or following directions.
reading the posts on this message form i will say no one knows the diff between: would have and would of your vs you're.
It took me the longest time to realize that there was actually an "antonym" of sorts to "latter." Whenever something like this would come up, I would always say "so, do you want the latter, or...?" and not say "former," because I had no idea it was a thing.
Affect - verb. Effect - noun. At least you're not a dumbass like me getting it's and its confused all the time. I keep thinking apostrophe = possessive, and then I **** up.
When I was younger, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg were the same actor to me. Same for Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire
Thanks. That should help, but who knows. I'm usually pretty good grammar-wise, but this one always makes me have to stop and think for a while. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has something like this!
I always get confused when printing multiple copies of a document whether or not I should check the "collate" option.
For some reason the word November bothers me. Like I know I'm spelling it correctly but sometimes I'll look at it for an extra second to be sure.
The word Wednesday when I was a kid would KILL me. For the life of me I couldn't spell it until I started saying WED NES DAY as I wrote it. Still to this day I'm so tortured by it from my youth, that I still pronounce it like that as I spell it.
