What are all these former players so threaten by what Steph Curry is doing?

It's not just sheer strength. Lots of baseball players have commented about how some synthetic substances, taken along with steroids, helped them see the ball better.

Think about what part of the country BALCO came out of. There's some designer **** being used out there, and it's not your big brother's version of steroids.

I feel that this game turned the ballgame back into Warriors' and steph's favour.

Pop would usually hide his hands until the playoffs. But nope, at this juncture his team must win this in order to maintain confidence.

Hence the first 30pt loss really mattered. If the first game was close, the Spurs wouldn't need to show off their defensive game plan and try this hard this early. Now the Warriors can get used to that defensive pressure and adjust - that usually happens in the playoffs hence each team takes turn to win on a seesaw.

This game made the dubs feel really good cos they were in the game till the last minutes, despite all the factors against them: short bogut, iggy, eze; 9th game in 14 days and back-to-back; no legs and worst shooting, where curry only shoots bad once every 10+ games.

In post game interviews all the dubs sound pretty confident and straight as far as this loss. They know they'll win the next ones.

If the game were that important then Duncan woulda played more.

 

I mean the defense on curry and 3pt close outs. Curry already knew he had to adjust and was able to test what works against the Spurs D. In this loss, he simply got too stubborn on his misses. I do believe lack of Duncan had to do with bogut out.

It's true Duncan will play a big role in the real games, but this taste of curry defense should normally be reserved for a playoff game so they can get a win out of it that counts. Instead of this win being a playoff game, it is used in a must-win regular season game. So the Spurs actually lost an advantage by having to show their first hand too soon, before the playoff even starts.

Gs sound very comfortable in knowing what they can do next time.

 

2 great seasons shooting the ball? Time to take off your nostalgia tinted glasses. In terms of 3pt %, Curry's worst year so far is basically equal to the BEST year for Reggie Miller & Larry Bird.

Dry hating. He has a very good skill set far more important than the rest, shoot!
Oh and he is all star talent in every other thing.

 

So if Steph Curry retired tonite he'd be considered the greatest shooter in NBA history? Really? Stupidest thing ive read in awhile. Curry needs alot more legendary playoff performances before he's even mentioned kid. Steph could very well end up the GOAT, but stop making him something he's not

Agreed that he threatens the "Jordan" era/establishment. It's fair to say that he hasn't been "great" for the number of years Jordan was but I'm actually more in awe of Curry's game. I think Jordan's game has similarities to other players and is the better version of many wings over the years. But basketball has never seen play the way Curry plays. His range combined with quickness make him unguardable on most nights.

And to those saying they would just put him on his ass. That is the stupidest argument out there. This is basketball and not boxing or MMA. The argument is essentially he can't be guarded so let's just physically hurt him. Might as well sign Jon Jones (about Curry's height) and just have him break his arm.
