the roots - come alive it's basically been on repeat for about week.... one of the best live albums out there imo, regardless of genre.
Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism The Arcade Fire - Cold Wind (from the Six Feet Under, Vol. 2: Everything Ends LP... which is very good) k.d. lang - Ingenue Vangelis - Blade Runner (soundtrack) Todd Rundgren - Runt: The Ballad of Todd Rundgren
I really like the new album alot. Many early reviews of it have said it is a decent album, but not really comparable to their first album. There actually is a track entitled "Detlef Schremf" on it. Band of Horses is one of the better Southern rock bands out there today.
I am going crazy for: She may die in the next two weeks, but, man is she great. Other albums I'm listening to lately:
I posted about it just above in replying to Gary's post. I like the album alot. It has more of a country/Southern sound to it, which some critics really don't like. There are some solid tracks to it, but nothing really outstanding like their first album. The album is really short also. Total play time for the ten tracks is about 35 minutes.
All of the Cars albums are like that- they barely leave any silence between songs, if at all. I guess like a trademark.
i need to listen to them more.... enjoyed their first album but for whatever reason never put it in rotation.
Great selection...seriously. Amused to Death - Roger Waters Heroes - David Bowie The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie Obscured by Clouds - Pink Floyd Face Value - Phil Collins
