As a mature, seasoned and vigorous gentleman, my discotheque appearances have been reduced to absolute zero. The drawings were on the wall when a young woman referred to me as the "guy with the eighties shirt", as if to disrepectfully poke fun. This was an outrage, and most frustrating to me, as I was prepared to have this woman accompany me to my townhome for a night of unspeakable acts.

These events unfolded in the year 2001, and have not been disco dancing again. Kindly note, that since that time, I have learned to court women in unconventional locations, hence the staff of raj lives on.

I stopped going to clubs as soon as I turned 21 and could go to a real bar. I never saw the appeal unless you were some dizzy chick, a homosexual (who could let his gay flag fly) or a rapist who liked to prey on stupid, drunk teens.

I think a lot of people have already said it - you should stop clubbing when you realize it's teh ghey.

I realized clubs were sooper dumb when I was 20, so I had to suffer another year of clubbing, purely from a lack of other options.

Then there are other people who never come to that realization. Those people will (and should) continue to frequent clubs - it's their natural habitat.

And that's completely cool with me - I'd rather they stay the hell away from my dives!

Personally, I hate clubs, but if it's something you like then there's no cutoff age. Go until it's not fun anymore, then stop. Don't stop because the interwebz told you to.

Have never been a club guy, bars are much better for me. If I want to be around loud music and skanky women with overpriced drinks I'd just go to a stripclub.

I defintely prefer bars but clubs are okay i do them maybe 3-4 times a year...

Though at 26 I will not go to a club that is 18+ anymore..

Last year I met a girl that went to my high school actually she was a senior in high school. I was thinking I graduated there hmmm 8 years ago!

I've heard there are some new places on washington ave. I need to look into those soon...

I dont think there is a cap on age for clubs as long as you have people with you your age. A group of 40 year olds in club oh theyre just having fun! An old man dancing byhimself you think whats wrong with him!....

I think lounges are the best. They have a bar and usually a little area to dance. It is the best place to chill or mack on some chicks. But yeah, I think you are young enough to go to clubs as long as you don't creep out the girls. Maybe it is different in Houston but in NYC and SF, there are plenty of 26-33 year old men and women in the clubs.

It's all about the upper 20's/30's lounges. The ones where they play electronic house music and a bottle of beer is $7 and drinks are $10.

I go with my friends, but I don't go to one hoping to make friends... Nothing good comes out of hitting on club chicks imo

I'm only 18 so I can't even drink legally, clubs are for ppl on drugs or who want to catch aids from a chick that's there every weekend. I can't wait to hit up the bars.

Bars are like my weekends except without the beer pong tables and all the highschool/college girls getting drunk and me getting naked and convincing them to go streaking with me.

    Yes I'm that guy.

it depends of course of the person, me personally, i got all my clubbing out of the way in my early twenties when i was supposed to be studying, and to be quite honest, it wasn't all that fun. i mean i can't breakdance, i'm not bad but not good, i spent most of the time trying to hit on the cute asian chicks.

i'm 30, and never going back... being married with a baby don't help either.

I really do hate clubs, but I've learned how to make it an enjoyable experience over the years.

    I typically only go now if 1) I have a door or bar hookup 2) it's a birthday/party situation where there's bottle service/VIP.

No sense in waiting in a giant line, bargaining with some spray-tanned jerk-off to get in the door, and then paying 9 bucks for a poorly made cocktail from some chick with fake boobs who expects a big tip simply for having fake boobs.

And you can forget about any kind of productive activity with chicks. Clubs really are the worst place in the world to meet women, although I've managed to do it successfully a few times, it's the exception, rather than the rule.
