shane's being out of the US team , and Yao's away from the national team.

that 2/5 of the starting lineup wont risk injury or worn-out summer sounds nice to me .

Hiring Adelman paved the way for signing Bonzi, James, and Francis & drafting Brooks IMO.

It may be harsh, but those who voted for anyone other than Adelman needs to beat themselves with a stick.

If we still have JVG at the helm, do you honestly think any of those players will see any light or PT on the court? Not to mention adelman may have something to do with us getting those types of player.

SF - may not even sign with us, at best a backup to alston and be in doghouse toward the mid-season.

    Brooks - benchwarmer,

Mike James - would JVG trade howard for him? I doubt that.

Wells - what? he's long gone

Scola - trade may still happen, but think JVG will let him start over Hayes? JVG may think scola would be a better pair with deke. one O and one D.

rest may be in IR or waived by JVG.

Scola may not start under Adelman, either. And what kind of minutes do you expect Brooks to play behind Francis and James?

And yes, Francis said on radio he would still have returned even with JVG coaching. He was also a full time starter with JVG the first time around.

As for James, JVG was at his door the first minutes of free agency at midnight. What makes you think he doesn't want James? The reason why they didn't trade for him last year was because Yao was still hurt at the trade deadline and they needed bigs.

Adelman will have the biggest impact on our enjoyment of the product on the floor.

Scola will have the biggest impact as a player.

I chose Hiring Adelman, becasue where would we have been if JVG was renewed for 3 more years

I think non of these changes would have came in, but rather we would have brought in more player from the SOCIAL SECURITY LEAGUE and ALSTON's shirt (I will be back next year..are you??) would have been true for the next 3 years.

We would have gotton Steve, Bonzi, & probably Brooks - Scola if it wasn't for Adelman.

So Adelman is the man

Changing coaches can make small differences - but really the big things was getting Scola and Francis. Those two guys will make all the difference in the world.

    We didn't re-sign Bonzi.

Bonzi had a two year contract and could have opted out after last year and chose not to. The Rockets had to take him back. If he acts a fool in camp, I bet they eat his salary and cut him.

the only player in that group that wouldn't be here if van gundy was still coach, is bonzi and possibly brooks. francis, james, and scola are no brainer moves that morey would have made anyway. i like adelman but van gundy deserves more credit for being a fantastic coach.

I think it's Scola cuz we haven't had a true PF since. Brooks is a good addition but I'm ok with Head on the roster.

Trading for Scola should be No.1, if Hiring Adelman is No. 1, then Firing JVG has to be added in the poll as someone suggests.

Bonzi hands down. He'll make the rocket bench very tough.

It's not JVG's fault that Yao was not Yao last postseason and that the bench (Howard+Head) did not show up. This team would of been in the WCF and yes Scola and James would be here but Bonzi, Brooks and maybe Francis might not have,

You know I'm a big JVG guy but sometimes change is good when results are not what they should of been no matter who was at fault (Luther Head-Juwan Howard  )

That bench better be tough. He'll be sitting on it all season.
