lol... can't believe I forgot that. But yes, his passing is his best skill. But I wouldn't say he led them to the championship... can't forget about Juan Dixon Plus you had Chris Wilcox, Lonny Baxter, Byron Mouton... just a very solid team. Blake was amazing though. Definately held that team together and made a ton of plays. I like him over Rafer as a player, but with how we play our PGs, with them primarily initiating an offensive set rather than passing to the guy that shoots (like Nash and the Suns), Rafer would be the better starter imo.
Thanks for the INFORMED insight. Why on earth are we going to make a horizontal move at pg? Alston isn't great but he's been w/ the team for awhile and the chemistry is good. Why trade for a pg who's not an improvement over Rafer AND hope he fits in w/ the team. For every idea someone proposes, the prospect's positives and negatives always even up to Rafer's level. The proposals at power forward are the same too. Let's not keep trading just for the sake of having someone different.
There is a difference between trading and acquiring someone with the TE. I am not saying to give up one of our players, but the rumor was Denver might give up Blake for a TE, which we have and need to use soon if at all. How does adding Blake mess with chemistry. Even if all he does is sit on the bench, it doesnt change who we have and who plays. I still think Rafer should start, but maybe cut his minutes down to 30 or so just to keep him fresh. This had nothing to do with him having a good game against us the other night. I started it only because it was possible to pick him up, without messing this team up, and it is reasonable to see it happen, unlike the J-Kidd coming here rumor.
