What about Starting Mutombo?

    Deke has 20 minutes in him. He can spend 12 backing Yao and 8 playing with him.

    Yes he is when you compare him to Mutumbo. Have you watched games where he has played? he is always in the middle mixing it up and fighting under the basket for boards.

    He won't block shots like Deke, but he is a lot more mobile than Deke.

    Even though our defense will improve for those 8 mins, our offense will get even worse. Teams will double Yao and send an extra defender to help out on T-mac (yeah thats not any different than what is happening now but i would rather have Mo/Howard taking jump shots than Deke)

    Right. I don't see how it can hurt us. Right now our roster is all kinds of messed up. We should have tried it yesterday in second half. What's the worst that could happen? lose by 50?
