Grizzard will be picked up somewhere. He is just too good of an athlete not to get a shot with soemone this year or next. At 6'8'' and with the ability to play 1-3, he has a lot of potential. I was hoping we would have picked him or Yarbraugh rather than Maddox, but my guess is that there is something wrong with him that we dont know (foot injury a problem a la Ilgauskas?).

Just ouf of curiousity....how do you know that Langi's and Morris's contract are guaranteed? Seems just odd to me that we sign all of our 2nd round picks to guaranteed contracts while almost everyone else doesnt.

We also have more talent on this roster than we did when we signed Langhi and Morris. At best, Maddox is the 12th man or on IR. I just cant believe that Rudy and Carol would guarantee a contract for a 12th man. Doing that pretty much eliminates Torres, Brown and Collier (who has a guaranteed contract) from competing for a roster spot.

Dan Langhi's contract was for two years with the first guaranteed.

Well, when I see something that says the Rockets guarantee 2nd round contracts, Ill be a big man and admit I was wrong. For the time being, I solidly believe otherwise.

Grizzard could be a steal for somebody, but I think it'll have to be next year. Doesn't sound like he's 100% yet.

Is it too late for him to go to Europe to make some nice, quick money and gain some experience?

thats because they drafted tito. when they skipped over rod and drafted tito, they, at that time, had 6 guards including tito (francis, mobley, norris, torres, brown, tito).

    it was a wasted pick.

i live in tuscaloosa and was fortunate enough to go to all of alabamas games last year (and one away). now ill agree that he definitely needs more time to develop, but he wouldve fit right into the "new" motion offense rudy is inlisting.

the reason he wasnt a firsdt round pick is cuz he got injured while workin out with the 76ers, which i believe is where he will inevitably end up.

hes very much like yao, well not very, but, he needs to bulk up in his upper body. but, hes a fierce player who wonnt shy away from taking a shot.

the bad part is that he did throw up many 3-point bricks toward the end of last season. but he did finish well in the sec and ncaa tournaments.

You are right on this one.

Langi and Morris both had/have similar contracts. But all it says is partially guaranteed. Does that mean just for the 1st season?

I think the difference between Morris/Langhi and Maddox is, when the former were drafted, we had more open roster spots. Now, our roster is tight. I cant believe they would 100% guarantee his salary and roster spot in this situation.

    In fact, Clutch agrees!

I don't have having Grizzard on the IL waiting for him to heal and develop. He could be an excellent backup 2-guard. He's very versatile in that he can play the 3 and a little PG too.

Sane is right, he would be a nice pickup. He has the handles to cover some PG duty and has good size to cover the 2 and 3 positions. Rudy would love his versatility. Only trouble is that we already have Oscar, Mickeal, and Hawkins fighting for that last spot as the backup 2.

IMO, Tierre is a luxury we can afford to do without as long as Moochie and Tito are competent as PG. Oscar didn't impress me too much last season so I'm up to some fresh talent.
