Kyle Korvers Stats last year looked pretty decant. Seems to be worthy of the Trade Exception should Philly consider. Would definately improve the bench 100% possibly even start depending on match-ups. He played more minutes at the 4 last year than the 2. The Sixers were kind of thin upfront and they also had depth at the guard spots. He may have been just needed there.
Kyle Korver is the only reason I pay attention to the Sixers. He is amazing. It's like watching that 70's show but the rockets would be winning. I love it.
If not for dumping salary,we wont have too much chance of talking a trade of getting Korver using TE. He is only 25 and his career 3pt shooting percentage is over 40%. Even he doesnt work out for us, we will easily find some other teams willing to trade for him. Damon Jones is another story. Paying him 4M a year is totally a waste.
I like both players , but they do have their faults . Damon Jones- played well in miami , FED THE BIG MAN PROPERLY....so he would work well with Yao. The problem is if he played like he did in cleveland, but Big Zeke is hardly worth a double team. Kyle Korver- he is a good shooter can play a little 2guard. problem is he isn't much of a spot up shooter which maybe good or bad. He defense is subpar. more of an athlete than air bullard
I wish Tomorrow morning I wake up, I would see Jones, Mihm, Vspan, JL3 are in Rox uniform and rid of Howard.
i rather see childress and jeffries....in a dream i rather ss Kevin "Da Kid" Garnett....in a WET DREAM
your signature can't be right. This year the Heat won. Last year the Spurs won (T-Mac's first year with Rockets). The year before the Pistons won (T-Mac's last year with the Magic), and the Magic didn't make playoffs.
That was simply because the Sixers had too many swingman and too many bigs. It was also a big reason why they were amongst the poorer defensive teams in the league. I've watched many Sixers games over the past 2-3 years because Korver has been a favorite player of mine. This man's shot is MONEY. It's fluid and he has the second quickest release in the league, behind Ray Allen. He can shoot off screens, off spot ups, and in transition. He was MADE to play for the Rockets. I sure hope we have a good shot at acquiring him.
i really hope damon jones isn't an option. i'd rather take my chances on lucas and spanoulis then paying jones 4 million to come here and talk a lot. i'll bite on korver though. white boy power squad part two?
the lux tax threshold is 65.42M, philly would welcome the 4.2TE for Korver. the question is would they give up a 2007 2nd round pick? rocks gotta collect those for next year.
korver would be like jon barry on the rockets, gets on the floor because he can hit the three, woukd get more time if he could defend.
Korver for the larger Trade Exception makes sense for more reasons than one. - He had a reduced role for much of the season in Philly, which may mean he's expendable. - The 76er's have Iguodala and Carney at the 2/3 now, so again, Korver may be expendable. - If Iverson is being traded, the 76er's are very likely to be taking 2, maybe 3 players back in order to match contracts. One of those guys may in fact be Wally Szczerbiak, if the Boston deal comes to fruition, and that would leave very little room for Korver on the roster. They'll need to free up a roster spot or two, and trading Korver for the TE would do that, and also save them money on the luxury tax. - The Rockets would (SHOULD) love to have Korver in their lineup for a "less than MLE" contract. Yes, it's 5 years, but there's no reason to believe he can't produce (shoot the hell out of the ball from 3) for 4 of those years and then he's an expiring contract that can be use for trade bait. Considering the current roster and what's left on the market, there should be no reason NOT to want Korver for the 4.2 TE.
JL3 and V-Span with the MLE Kyle Korver for the $4.2 M TE Trade involving Juwan at the deadline Anyone with me?
Good breakdown, CCR. I agree on all accounts really and, if we can get Korver for that larger TE, sign Spanoulis and possibly Lucas, then the biggest question will be how much Head can play the point. The rotation would be pretty good in the backcourt since Sura, Head, and Lucas could back up the one, while Snyder, Korver, Head, and possibly Spanoulis could play the two.
