Thank you for this, I’m tired of trying to explain to folks here, Reddit and Twitter…

They so caught up on their personal pride of a certain player or (the team) many want the Rockets to win enough games to make playin and lose and end up with a awful draft pick … vs a chance at generational talent.

Real Rockets fans remember being stuck with 11-17th pick .. hoping to hit one out the park

If they listen to Stone and Silas - it’s easy to know what’s going on… Silas said last year when season started that Rockets were having Green work on / adjust to things he wasn’t good at vs having him play how he was comfortable …. It paid off the end of last year.

They have to see what Nix can do vs NBA talent … he looks too good in GLeague

They have to keep playing Gordon to build trade value because Stone missed his chance last year

They have see if the switch flips with KPJ as a PG while there isn’t any pressure to win games

etc etc … The players often can verbalize what they are supposed to do or how they were supposed to attack the defense… the next step is being able to perform those actions without thinking

Yeah, he would be nice! I’d rather have a top 3 pick and take Jabari

    Spot on.

Mathews/Eric Gordon represent what our future SF will bring us in terms of spacing
or ability to hit 3's on offense...... unfortunately EG looks disinterested at times and Mathews
    has struggled.

It's all about recreating a model of what will be in the future.
I imagine Cam Whitmore or Thompson twin or other
shooting, slashing, facilitator from that SF spot.
(hint: KPj has been a good CnS option in the past and
often guards SF's right now.....can always slide over to
SF for a drafted Scoot Henderson or Nick Smith)

Shooting, slashing, facilitator from the 3-spot (SF)
    (giving the Rockets a 3-prong attack....Draft pick-Green-KPj )
    ----------
Playing EG / Mathews at SF is done knowing that the defense will take a hit.

If it was more about defense.....Bari/Tari would be played simultaneously more often.

Won’t do it with his father passing away

I don’t think they were planning to fire him before the season ended anyways.
