unfortunately I was on the that side , and def 90% were bandwagon fans except a couple of diehards , that booing at the end confused me too but I doubt they were Rockets fans
There are people from LA who live here. Or even some lifelong Laker fans who live here. While "bandwagoner" does apply to some, it does not to all.
I've see alot more California plates these past few years. With their economy and housing crash we've had an influx of Califonians so since we're not selling out the TC they take the seats.
yea, because in basketball, this town doesn't care unless you are winning. you would never see laker cheers and kobe chants like that in Boston or NY. embarrassed for my city
there are a lot of cali people here because no one can afford to live in LA besides the players and the high profile fans.
DID ANYONE ELSE HEAR THE CROWD CHEERING KOBE.. KOBE..KOBE.. KOBE SICK I damn near turned on my TV Set, the only thing made me keep watching, was that we were making a strong 4th quarter rally
There is no such thing as diehards who live in Houston. Only subhumans pretending o be Laker fans.
Thats exactly who they are a bunch of ****ing FAKES who can hardly another player other than Kobe and Pau on the team... Such a pity. I feel disgusted I know people like that.
Yeah they are bandwagoners easily. I was at the game tonight. Tired of them surrounding our arena. Cant wait when the Lakers start sucking again then they will go away. Stuff like that makes me wanna kick their ass! F LA!
It made the win that much sweeter. I generation x crotch shot one of them when Dragic hit the 3. Adios Mofo.
we had problems with fans in the 90s. don't try and rewrite history. 90-91 613,230 (16th of 27) 14,956 91-92 592,790 (18th of 27) 14,458 92-93 554,210 (22nd of 27) 13,517 93-94 615,224 (18th of 27) 15,005 94-95 653,389 (17th of 27) 15,936 95-96 667,685 (20th of 29) 16,285 96-97 667,685 (18th of 29) 16,285 (16,285 was the capacity for the Summit/Compaq Center)
For a person at the game, it felt like a road game to begin the with. As time went on though, rocket fans finally came out from the woodsheds and decided to put some noise in their cheers. It was befuddling to hear that "kobe" chant too but when our team is in the state it's in right now then of course it would be like this. Happy to see our team finish on top to show those LA fans some "southern hospitality"
this is a turrible answer. it's just a popular franchise with douchebag fans. they are Texans, they are Houstonians. don't drag the economy into this. not everyone in california is "high profile" and no one in California leaves a high profile lifestyle for Houston Texas. they would go to Austin. flame on.
I'm disgusted i went to the game and it was really hard to keep a cool....makes no sense yeah Kobe's good but your home team? Clutch City? Your home team? You can't believe the joy I had when Rockets pulled it out!!!
