Not a plumber and yet... http://blog.aflcio.org/2008/01/10/plumbers-and-pipe-fitters-union-endorses-obama/ Definitely most plumbers would see a bigger tax cut with Obama. Also they would see a safer nation.
As usual, you miss the point of the song, which is not the title. Take a look at the last verse and you'll see that Obama's running to counter such resignation... this is even more relevant today as the Republican leadership has sucked the life out off the American Dream... If only there was a candidate who offered hope...
I think this thread has gotten waaaaayyyyy off topic. We need to get back to talking about the important issue that started it all. You guys do realize that Palin bought diapers in a wall-mart right? Let's please stay on topic.
palin shops at wal-mart. wal-mart is the nation's biggest importer, selling foreign goods. palin supports purchasing foreign goods. palin is un-american. do i get my Sean Hannity/Michele Bachmann Medal of Spin Mastery now?
I think it's imperative that this election cycle we keep our eye on what's really important, and that is which candidate shops at wal-mart. basso, thank you for starting this crucial thread at such an important time in our nation's history. I'm curious what you think of this 'everywoman' hockey mom, VP candidate with the common touch who stops at wal-mart but then spends 18k provided by donors a week on clothes from elite stores? I'm going to do my part to keep this all important issue at the forefront of the election, and will bump this thread at appropriate times.
I hope people aren't not posting in this important thread because of trivial issues like the economy, or something like that. Let's look alive people, basso let us know about something as important as Sarah Palin stopping at a walmart. Just because she couldn't get the $800(of donor money) Louis Vuitton bag that she bought her frist grade aged daughter at Walmart, doesn't mean she's not one of the common folks bringing that down-home touch to the white house. She's going to be a maverick and take the waste out of government. We need to focus more on this very important issue. Let's not lose sight of this. This election is just too important.
While one person is spending $800 of donations to buy their first grader a Louis Vuitton bag, the other candidate could use some of that wardrobe budget because he's worked holes in his shoes. It is telling the difference between one candidate spending time and 150K of donor money on a new wardrobe while the other is literally so focused on work that his shoes are falling apart.
