I don't understand why they don't stop the clock on made baskets until end of quarter (last 2 minutes?)? Sometimes when the other team isn't ready to inbound, uncontested fast break or the ball rolls away, 3-5 seconds just ticks off the clock.

great D by ed davis. just keep backing off and give curry the 3 instead of making him drive.

i thought about a team that's overmatched exploiting that to shrink the game. just take the full 5 seconds to inbound and then let the ball roll instead of picking it up. the shotclock wouldn't start but the game clock would keep rolling.

I really wonder how it feels to have great shooters on your team? One of them is cold yet the other goes off with 6/9 from 3 pt land.

Interesting idea. Every time I've noticed this situation, the inbounding team gets the ball in right away. Maybe if someone tried your tactic, the league would re-examine the rule.

yeah i'd have to pull it out in like the finals before they could react. i wonder if there's some ref discretion that can be used to not let the clock run forever if no one picks up the ball.

Blazers are fun to watch. Makes me wish the Rockets would build a team of all around role players around Harden with a great coach. We were headed that direction back with Parsons, Lin, Asik, but we didn't have a coach like Stotts and we fell in love with star chasing.

So the Blazers didn't quit like a lot of people thought. I guess teams do have pride.

Truth is the Blazers are likely to do no more than the Rockets have done against Golden St. And the Rockets were dysfunctional. I am watching this to see Golden State lose, in fact, that is my whole playoff hope so that we can discredit last year. But Portland does not appear to be any better than we were.

Looking forward to seeing if Westbrook can shut down Curry on pure aggression.

Whoever comes out of the TOR-MIA crapfest should try it in the ECF. Then they might only lose by 15 instead of 25 per game.

No matter what happens in the playoffs, pretty sure that 73-9 means that you can't discredit last year.

To discredit last year? Haha that is a bleak hope. All they did was to win the most regular season games ever. And they do mention being called lucky as one of the motivation. Luck my ass they say.

I don't know, maybe try watching the games. the Blazers have been competitive in every game of the series.

Rockets got blown out 4 times.
