Good post. The Warriors play defense often enough to win plenty of games. I used to think their smallball act couldn't work during the long season but indeed it can. But when they don't play defense, the Warriors can look awful. No lead is too big for them to give up. Still, IMO, the only thing preventing them from winnng 45-48 games is injuries. They must have both BD and Jackson in the lineup to succeed. The Blazers are hard to figure. They looked sloppy yesterday against the Sonics. The toughness and guts they showed when beating Utah (twice) and other teams during the win streak wasn't on display. You can use the argument that their young players should improve over the course of the season. Sarge runs a deep rotation so I think they may have staying power. If Roy plays like an MVP candidate the entire season, the Blazers will definitely make the playoffs. If he slacks off, it will be tough because the team is so young.
I can't believe so many people quit believing the Rockets. Anyways, I think Portland is just too young to sustain the run. And either Denver or Golden States will lose out. The Warriors are one Baron Davis injury away from falling out of the race.
Nah, they aren't quitting, they're just being common people. Give up on anything that doesn't look good, don't worry they will be back as soon as we start to win games again. Till then they will just bicker about how they need to be the new Rockets GM and tell everyone how they would magically help us win a championship!
Rockets will defintely make the playoffs, I believe Yao will come up big after the All-Star break and will have an MVP season. The team I selected to miss the playoffs is the Utah Jazz.
The way Brandon Roy is playing, no way I see Portland falling unless he gets injured. Too good and too clutch.
I voted Portland and Utah, I dont think Portland would keep this streak, and Utah, I dont know, I just dont see them in the playoffs.
