That still doesn't change the fact that we gotta overpaid tub of lard 7-footer name Brad Miller that is playing behind a 6'6 center named Chuck Hayes. Now how ridiculous is that? Everytime Bill Worrell says all we need is a 7-footer in the paint to protect the paint and play tough and get reounds Brad Miller should take that as straight disrespect because he is 7 freakin feet!

But we're not exactly in a great position to take over. First of all, the "old teams" aren't quite done. those teams will be threats for at least 2 more years, possibly 3. By then you'll have young and talented teams with established stars ready to take over for them (OKC, Kings, Clips). Then you have teams like Minny and GS who have some young talent, but probably need another high pick, which they'll probably get within those 2-3 years and before we do.

Basically by the time the old teams are done the younger teams will come in and take their place. Meanwhile we'll be in the position they are in now, young talent that doesn't know how to win yet. Unless we pull off a great trade we're not in a great position to take advantage of the shift in power, by the time we are ready the West should be strong again.
