I don't think I've seen an arena clear out faster than the SBC Center just did. Wow.

That's absolutely amazing. I'm glad to see it happen. I'd love for the Nuggets to win this series. I think they're a better possible western conference finals match up for us. However, even if they don't win the series I'm glad to see them making the Spurs work.

This further proves that this year is one of the best NBA playoffs for a long time. There are so many good matchups all around. Even the Eastern 1vs8 is a good matchup, except VC and Kidd were just missing everything in game 1. A lot of the matchups could go 6 in the 1st round and feature very close games.

Of course the Nuggests are. Didn't you see what just happened a week ago? What'd the Rockets beat them by? It was definitely by over 20.:)

The only thing I regret about this is that they'll probably give more attention to the Nugz/Spurs series on PTI tommorow, instead of Rockets/Mavs.

The Nuggets beating the Spurs is a HUGE upset no matter how you look at it... its the biggest so far. I wonder how Charles is going to backtrack on this one... he didn't give them a chance, even when it was tied at halftime ("All they did was hit a couple of lucky shots at the end of the half... this still isn't gonna be a close game.")

Man, Camby with outstanding defense on Duncan. I know Duncan isn't 100% but if he can't recover quickly, it could be a long series for the Spurs.

How big is that Rockets win against Denver last Saturday looking now? The Spurs got the one team they didn't want in the first round.

Poetic justice, Buckner was the one who gave the cheapshot to T-Mac. Then again, Gino needs a shot to the groin in a bad way. Hope they beat each other up throughout the series.

I can tell this is going to be a fun series.

exactly how i feel, the Nuggets have stolen our "game 1 upset" spotlight.

oh well, we'll just take Game 2 from the Mavs and Denver can go home with a split....

Ha, yeah I know! At halftime he adamantly said that the Spurs would win the series in 5. He even went as far to say that the Spurs would win tonight, and acted as if the Nuggets didn't have a chance, even though the score at the time was only 52-51 Spurs.

IMHO after Shaq, no one in the NBA gets more favorable offensive position calls than Ginobili. The guy gets totally out of control, leans into his defender and goes to the line. I was glad to see the refs not bail his sorry butt out tonight with that BS call.

No 4Q FG's for the Spurs!

wow super physical game. this is the type of game where yao ming may not have been able to compete well.

the nuggets have players! they match up well against the spurs.

miller - parker : parker is faster but miller is stronger

anyway this series could definitely go either way. i think we would do better against the nuggets as the spurs are one of those teams that just always find a way to beat us.

Nuggets4, where the heck are ya? Saved some champagne, join the party here.

I toast everyone that's said disparaging things about Ginobili in this thread. Man, the refs totally did not buy his act tonight. It was great.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, the way we finished the season, I thought Spurs in 5 or 6. Probably 6 as I thought the home team would win every game until 6. Now, I'm excited. For the first time, I think we actually have a chance.

I'm partially drunk, I'm shaking and my heart is still racing. I'm not sure I can handle 6 more games of this in this series (plus the next three series' ;)). Wow.

REALLY glad I have tickets to games 3 and 4 now.

I used to like Manu but his dirty/flopping play as of late has really been irritating. That flop during the last minute was the most blatant one I have seen in a while. I just cant support a player who tries to win a game by using extra-curricular activities.

League should implement a penalty for flopping. In soccer, player gets a yellow card for diving. In basketball the opposing team should be awarded free throws.
