is gasol trying to suck? can't shoot, can't guard duncan, turning it over, not getting back on D and making odom foul duncan.

lol, bowen with an obvious bump on kobe not called, which then leads to kobe forcing a shot (no foul by bowen there) and missing.

Realistically, the Lakers can and should win this game. They've got the Spurs on an even playing field now (down by only 2), they survived the Spurs run- now they have to make sure that their reserves don't screw it up for them.

They're doing better than I thought. I expected a 5-6 point Spurs lead at the end of 3. Lakers by 1 going into the 4th? It's the Lakers game to lose.

this comeback almost seemed too inevitable and easy. like now it has to fall apart.

if there's a conspiracy, it's to keep kobe bryant off the free throw line. a blatantly obvious shooting foul and the refs rule he is passing. i have no idea what it would take to get him shooting 2.

then duncan pushes off, no call, then duncan drives and gets a call. unbelievable.

Lol, what does Kobe have to do to get some free throws? And then Duncan pushes off on that rebound. Spurs are still in this one!

I don't know if there's a conspiracy theory towards one team or another, but it does seem like the referees sometimes make more calls in favor of a team about to be eliminated (2002 Lakers). As if they're saying "In order to advance in the playoffs, you need to play 5-on 8 a little bit." I don't know, could be wrong, and very well may be wrong- but Kobe is certainly getting much less foul calls.

If the Lakers don't choke near the end, they will be all right. The first part of the 3rd quarter showed me the Spurs don't have full pep in their step after the blazing start. They are ready to go down if the Lakers don't blow it.

I knew Gasol would choke. He may be on the Lakers, but he's not that far removed from being an 0-12 guy. Once a Grizzlie, always a Grizzlie?

kobe bryant has been 13-23 at some point in each of the last 3 games. interesting i guess, or not.

We better hope not, for Shane's sake.

Convinced yet? The Spurs don't have a lot left. If the Lakers contest shots without fouling and don't get stupid on offense, they will close it out.

if the lakers could have gotten one stop in the spurs last 3 trips that would've been huge. instead, 2 parker floaters and a thomas offensive putback keep the spurs well within striking distance.

if i were a completely impartial observer, i would say the lakers appear to have the momentum, the spurs are a little tired, and the lakers should be able to win.

however, knowing what i know about teams i root for, i don't get confident until the clock is at 0:00. unless vince young is on my team, then i'm always confident.

it's almost impossible that they didn't call a foul for either gasol or odom right there. gasol was killed.

and vujacic was obviously hit as well with no call.

this is why i'm not confident. the refs seem intent on giving the spurs the calls.

Vince Young? You must be kidding, right? Out of 4 years of college and 3 years in the pros, he's won 1 championship. Vince Young had one great, great season and a few good ones.

But yes, Spurs could certainly pull this out.
