on top of that, if it was Ginobli, he would have flopped all the way to the other end of the court and would have got the call. wrong player to shoot ball.
I don't see how anyone can watch the last four games and come to any conclusion other than that the Lakers have been clearly the better team, thanks largely to Manu's less-than-stellar playoff performance thus far this post-season. The better team will win the series in the end, and that team is the Lakers.
Joey -"Last I checked, Barry still had his head." Joey - "That way to fishing." Joey - "Timmy, Who's your daddy now?"
And with that, I'm officially done with the NBA for this season. I know I'm in the minority, but I'd rather watch a Hawks-Jazz final than the teams of Stern and his minions. Hopefully the league will become legitimate again once they get their nostalgia series out of the way... I'll be back then to check. Congrats to David Stern and Joey Crawford, you got what you wanted and went the full distance to get it done. Hats off.
yeah i don't know why anyone thinks he would've had 3 shots. now like Kim said, he should've just jumped into fisher and flailed all over the place. we've all seen contact like that let go at the end of the game. it's the rule, not the exception. but if he just jumps into fisher, he gets 3 ft's and the spurs win.
Did you guys watch the replay? Horry was like "PASS ME THE BALL, I'M ROBERT HORRY!" what an epic fail by the Spurs.
Amen. I cannot believe the various commentators saying it was a good no-call because Barry didn't sell the foul. What a joke this league has become.
And for all the blind Spurs fans, That "airball" that went off Horry with 2 seconds left on the shot clock and 5 seconds left in the game...that shot actually hit rim. I checked the replay. If it was a straight airball, Horry probably would have caught it, but the fast ricochet changed the angle. Oh, and Phil Jackson is agreeing with me now about Fisher's shot hitting the rim. Edit: Some of you haters are so annoying. If y'all aren't NBA fans, then just don't watch and leave. Y'all are so full of drama with conspiracy bs. Y'all have every right to whine but just leave it alone and stop supporting the game that y'all whine about so much.
I hate the Spurs with a passion. I hate them as much as I hate the Jazz...maybe more. That said, they got SCREWED by that no-call. That wasn't a borderline foul that you don't call at the end of the game. It was a blatant foul when he bit on the Barry pump-fake. It SHOULD have been TWO shots, b/c it wasn't during the act of shooting the ball (during the fake). That was bad. I am happy with the result, though. Just wish it was fair. Barry could have missed one...though I doubt it
I am sick of hearing about the same tired, stupid conspiracy theories that keep rearing their ugly heads every single season. It's always "Stern wants his teams and will do anything to help them get there." Right, that's why the Rockets haven't made it out of the first round and Yao gets no calls, or that the freakin' Spurs have been dominating the league for years, or that the Jazz get more calls than we do. Seriously, find something else to b**** about, sing a different tune for a change. P.S. the Lakers got screwed first, Fisher's shot hit the rim, they didn't reset the clock, otherwise the Lakers get to run out the clock, the Spurs have to foul and put them at the line and *** guess what *** the LAKERS STILL WIN THE GAME!
I'm not glad the inevitable Lakers - Celtics finals matchup is starting to appear right before our eyes.
ya this is pathetic. you get fouled and you have to sell it? THIS IS THE FREAKING REASON WE HAVE PLAYERS FLOPPING! no one wants to call a foul when they actually get hit.
Spurs Vs. Boston/Detroit= 2x Tylenol PM's Lakers Vs. Boston/DET= SHOWTIME$$$$$$$ Spurs Vs Jazz=OMG I would Kill myself
97 out of 100 When its wade, Kobe, or Lebron you bet in that situation if anybody would have breathed on them a foul would be called.
And it's not about "selling it" imo. It's about seeing that Fisher is in the air and jumping into him and shooting the 3 to get the 3 FTs. It's about not crouching and dribbling to try to avoid contact.
thank you, now i don't look like such a homer. i don't know why anyone thinks that call gets made. it just doesn't at the end of games. and props to Pop (who was hilarious with his response) and barry for not whining about it and saying it was not a foul. and if the refs had seen fisher's last shot hit the rim (or odom get the clean block), it wouldn't have come down to that any way.
Don't worry, it's just gonna be for this year and this year only. No way the Rockets let this repeat itself next year. So let them boys enjoy themselves.
