I get the feeling OKC is coming unglued now. Brooks better have a quick trigger on Thabo and Perkins. Their offense has been trash the first 3 minutes under the increased pressure of the Mavs defense. With Ibaka coming out, that means Perkins will play more. Uh oh.

Durant needs to put his stamp on the game. Easy to forget he is even out there sometimes.

Great post! The constant ridiculing of posters back and forth as nuthugger or hater of this team or this player is getting to an absurd level on this board. I wish people who regularly engage in such idiotic arguments leave it at the espn boards where it belong.

    Completely agree! Great Post.
After watching Collison vs Denver, Memphis and Dallas, as well as listening to JVG rave about his defense, I'm finally sold on Collison being one of the best 1v1 post defender in the league.

Likewise I think Dirk will give Haslem and Bosh huge problems, though I think Lebron could defend him well in spots. I expect Dirk to have a good series, something similar to the Portland series, 45%+ fg and around 27ppg. I believe Kidd will be getting alot of minutes defending Wade and agree, the Mavs will be tightly packing the paint, which will at times stifle the Heats offense.

But Ultimately I expect the Heat to win the series in 6 (hoping 7) due not to homecourt but just due to superior talent. The only team i thought had a better than even chance of beating the Heat was ironically the Lakers (the only team in the league i actively dislike).

As to this current game, between OKC and Dallas, GO OKC!!! I want more basketball!

If OKC somehow wins tonight I can definitely see it going to 7. Dallas needs to close it out tonight.

Here is why KD's jumper is off right now: He's hardly touched the ball so far in the 3rd quarter. When that happens, he can't get a rhythm. In response, when he does get the ball, there is close to a 100% chance he won't give it up and will take any shot available because he knows the ball won't be coming back to him. Seen it many times before.

OKC needs Maynor and Harden in the game to get people and the ball moving around. Dallas' offense is off, but when they find the range, OKC will be done.

WB's stat line looks good, but his head isn't right. The other players know it and they aren't responding to him.

People will probably call Durant unclutch if he continues like this, but give credit to Dallas for playing some great defense on him right now. Good double teams and great rotation by the Mavs.

Even though they're down a few points, Dallas is quietly but firmly maintaining control over this game from the start. It feels very similar to what Miami did to Boston in the final games of that series.

And now, Dallas takes the lead while Westbrook implodes.

Harden and Maynor should have been in several minutes ago.

Westbrook tends to lose his mind when things aren't going well. Not a quality iI like to find in a point guard.

I love Westbrook and think he has the stuff of an elite player but this is getting old. He needs to seriously get his head screwed on tighter. How do you do that when your team is falling apart and your their PG???

Harden taking it upon himself to get Durant the ball.

Harden goes in and immediately gets Durant an open shot.

Harden is also really great at that quick extra pass to get the easy shot. I think that's why he works so well with a guy like Durant, who passes out well but not for the direct assist.

JVG sounds like he wants to coach OKC. :)
