I love your spurs hate but you are nuts and this sentence I quoted falls apart with just internal logic.

Considering the Rockets couldn't even beat the Blazers in the first round with home court, you're right. The Spurs probably knock them off with relative ease had they made it that far.

But it's still frustrating to think that had the Rockets beaten the Blazers like they should have, the Spurs are probably the only thing standing between them and a title. OKC without Ibaka wouldn't have been a tough opponent(probably goes 6, but I think the Rockets prevail). And Miami and Indiana are both very beatable teams. What a wasted opportunity.

You do realize that the Spurs were using single coverage on Dirk right?

Yeah and he took a big out side of the paint with him to the perimeter. That alone opens up the paint you know.

Can you imagine ESPN rippling into Durant when he has bad game like they do to LeBron.

Who have they beaten in the post-season that was a legitimate title contender since they barely got by Detroit in game 7 of the Finals at home in 2005? The series win against Phoenix in 2007 is absolutely tainted by what happened with Nash's bloody nose in game 1 and the bs suspensions against Amare and Diaw. Every time they've come up against elite teams that had a genuine chance at winning the title since they beat Detroit, they've lost and the most recent examples are Miami last year and OKC the year before. That's why I said until they beat Miami this year, they have not beaten a legit title contender in the post season in basically 10 years.

Ginobili came over in 02-03, so that record is for 11 seasons of consecutive playoff appearances.. The NBA has been incredibly West-heavy for the past decade. 110 playoff wins in the West? That's incredible. Do we even have 20 playoff wins in the past decade?

I never took it that far, but in their entire playoff run they've only beaten three championship-level teams 04-05 Suns and Pistons; 06-07 Suns. People told me well...they beat one of the weakest Shaq-Kobe teams in 03...and previously 99. But happened in 01, 02, 04, and 08. 4-12 against the Lakers...they haven't beat to many Kobe-Phil Jackson. The Spurs have always blasted lesser teams away, sometimes equal in talent. Playing excellently wonderful until run into another

The Spurs were on fire, last year and still lost to Miami. Even, looked like a better team than inconsistent Miami. It may not be the case, this year. Miami does play championship-quality defense without a great big, and can score alot points. Oddly, Miami actually built to beat teams, like SA who perimeter-oriented and weak in rebounds, . In reality, I'm not sure the Spurs would beat OKC so easily, if Ibaka is healthy, they are built to beat SA. The Clippers would've given them trouble, but enough to win. Also, the people who believe the Rockets could give the Spurs trouble, aren't completely crazy. Poor defense would do the Rockets... Harden or Howard with a little help from Lin and Parsons could manage two wins. Having a multitude of weapons who are well coached or unstoppable offensive players (Shaq, Kobe, Dirk, Amare, or Lebron/Wade).

Oddly enough, I don't have them in my top 8 as far as championship trios go.

Well I think this SPURS is a dynasty. 10+ years of consistent contenders is just amazing. I am not a Spurs fan by any means, but I'm just amazed by what they're still doing.

I also don't think you can really take Pop out of the picture. The Spurs success (even with the best PF of all time) wasn't as much on individual brilliance as it was the 'parts making the whole'. Pop+Duncan+Ginobili+Parker is probably one of the best Coach+player trios of all time.

nah, if Spurs' run to title tells you anything, it is that free open style bball, like the blazers, okc and the ROX, doesnt stand a chance in front of the "system" bball. thats why blazers and okc took a beat down, but a weak dallas took it to g7.

Their stars take discounts allowing them to load up on high quality role players.

    Here's something funny for you.

The best 3 point percentage on our team was 37%, Chandler Parsons
The 8th best 3 point percentage on the Spurs was 37.3%, Tony Parker

Yes, because clearly taking Splitter out of the paint was the reason Mavs were able to take Spurs to seven games.

The Spurs just didn't play very well against Dallas until near the end, it was like their early series vs Golden State last year. Man people try to draw some wild ass conclusions from a couple of bad games.

I want OKC to win the next two because these games have been terrible.

Scottie Brooks needs to listen to Kenny and Charles and put in Lamb and move Russell to the 2.

The passing by the Spurs is a clinic, such the opposite of the Rockets.

Free Jeremy L@mb! Im sure they know really regret losing Harden, but then hed make their defense worse so unless Harden was scoring 40ppg theyd have no chance.

What did I say about westbrook. When he's not turn up he will cost you the game but I also blame Brooks for relying on that system.

Pops will yank parker and ginobili if they pull a Harden or westbrook and that's why Pops is the best coach. All these other coaches cater to the players.
