    The Spurs own...

Glad to see a Texas team in it, but of course, I would never out right root for them, because I only have love for one team, my Rockets...

The Spurs are putting to rest the myth around here that you need 12 all-stars on your team to advance in the playoffs.

    There is little difference between:

    Bowen and Battier
    Horry and Howard
    Oberto/Elson and Hayes/Mutombo
    Vaughn and Alston
    Finley and Head

Brent Barry; I don't have one for him.

Eh...not entirely true. Duncan and Gino are less then Yao and Mac.

...Too bad Parker vs. JL3/VSpan totally kills that.

ya thats all good but who is our 3rd scorer? and i mean consistent 3rd scorer.

unless our 2 stars go off fo 75pts combined every night like they did against phoenix..i tend to believe you have more of a chance winning with a balanced scoring trio.

So, is anyone outside of Utah and San Antonio watching this snoozefest?

True these guys can have off nights and still win. T-Mac needs to bring his A game in the playoffs to win. He is a better playmaker than Parker and better defender than flopping Ginobili. T-Mac is a freak who can play 4 positions without a problem.

They just did a thing on how the Jazz are defending Duncan and it looks pretty much like how they defended Yao. Have Okur keep on poking at the ball in Duncan's head and then have a defender come from behind to strip.

    man

this Deron kid gonna be a royal pain in the arse for the league. :(

This is only his second year...He is already almost a top 5 pg.

Said he'd be damn good after the first round, but not even SA can keep him down.

guess that makes our need for a good defensive pg even more dire.

btw... Has Okur always been this good at defense and I just never noticed before this years playoffs? He has very good technique

The reason Okur looked good on defense was because he completely gave up playing offense and focused his entire energy on D. This guy is an all-star this year after all.

When Deron Williams played alongside Luther Head and Dee Brown in Illinois, you could tell that Deron was going to be the best of the three guards, but I'm surprised how much better he is than Luther Head right now.

This is why you can't just look at how much of a "winner" somebody is in college or in Europe when projecting how they develop as NBA players. In college, Williams wasn't that much better than Luther but his skillset and body meant he had more potential to get better. Now, it's plainly obvious that Williams' ability to be effective off the dribble at this level has him light years ahead of Luther.

dude, tmac > ginobili + parker. those guys don't have defenses key on them. those guys play off duncan. our guys play off tmac.

tmac creates more than parker and scores more than ginobili. tmac in his grave > those 2. unless u talking about the spurs. spurs > tmac.

At this point in time Tracy is not greater than both TP and Manu. He's declined and TP has ascended to such an extent that if all 32 teams had a choice, all 32 would take TP + Manu over Tracy. In fact, TP will surpass Tracy sometime during the next two seasons.
