[Western Conf. 1st Round] Hated Spurs vs. My Little Pony Mavs

They have to play better on defense AND offense. The problems are on both ends of the floor. They are the 3rd seed but their team is really at an 8th seed level. I think the Spurs are the worst team in the Western Conference playoffs.

I may have voted for the Spurs but the Mavs winning game one didn't surprise me at all. You kind of got the vibe after watching them play against us in the regular season finale that they were all clicking together and looked pretty dangerous. The Mavs have as much talent as anybody out there. If they're clicking on all cylinders they could probably beat anybody (outside of LA). The question is: can they sustain this momentum and how will the Spurs respond?

 

I took it in a minute, that is, r****ded Mavs. My hating list has been fixed pretty solidly. NO.1 JAZZASS, No.2 p***y MAVS

 

The Mavs don't need to click on all cylinders to win this series. The Spurs just aren't good enough. That said, I do think the Mavs will continue to play very well.

In game 2, look for the Spurs to come out roaring just like game 1. They may even sustain it longer, perhaps most of the game. I expect them to tie the series. But they will not win 4 games unless something weird happens to change the series around.

 

spurs shot 11/13 from three and lost, Spurs rely way way too much on three, strategy to beat spurs, play Duncan 1 on 1, limit parker's penetration.

Stick to the scrubs on the perimeter.

Spurs are last in the NBA at getting to the line and without Gino it will be even harder.

 

barrea is playing well, but can't see them beating the spurs.

Interesting game. Pop vs Carlisle, I like them both.

Of course, Pop is top notched. Let's see what Pop can do when he really doesn't have the horses. Pop can tighten up their defense, but where can Pop get scorings from the bench with Bowen, KT, Gooden and Udoka.

Bench points in 1st game: Mavs 39 vs Spurs 14. I bet the Spurs need 23+ points from their bench in order to win.

This game will be close down the wire. Tony and Timmy will score big. BUT, will that be enough?

Spurs are -6 favourite in today's line.

 

I say the Spurs will take tonight's game. It will take a huge effort but they will play like champions and get it done. Not going to predict the score.

Of course, if the Spurs don't come out strong and lead at halftime, go ahead and kick dirt on them. Like on Saturday, as the game progresses I expect the Mavs to get stronger and the Spurs to get weaker. The Female Ponies have an extra gear the Spurs don't.

 

I think the spurs win it in the last minute.
