    Tmac for Chauncey/Sheed?

It might be even better. Actually TMac for Chauncey/Dice (the one Denver got) is good enough.

West missed wide-open shots while Big Shot was hitting everything. If West can't score, the Hornets won't win. Period.

To the few that think Chris Paul is "tough": Do you still think he belongs in the same class as Kobe/LeBron/Wade?

I may be in the minority, but I think denver has the best chance to beat La in the west. They can match athlete for athlete, but they're not the smartest team out there. They have size and some guys that can actually score without help. Billups will abuse every pg they have and when they have anthony and smith in, kobe has to play defense. When they bring in odom, they can play martin on him. Phil is a better coach , but denver has talent.

    :D

Honestly, I think he's about as tough as they come, both mentally and physically, especially considering his size. His rebounding numbers alone point to that fact, not that they are the only indicator by any means. He is unafraid to mix it up with bigs, offensively or defensively.

Yes, I think he is in their class. He's limited physically compared to them but none of those guys make their teammates better the way Paul does. LeBron is close but still doesn't run an offense and see the floor as well as Paul, no matter how great of a passing wing he is.

By the way, did you see some of those flops from Lowry last night? :D

For example, the one when he was standing behind Pryzbilla and Pryzbilla leaned back slightly, sending Lowry flying on his back. Or the reach in from Blake or whoever it was that caused Lowry to fling his head back and nearly fall down.

I'm a big fan of Lowry but there is no question that he is an A-class flopper. He is just a relative unknown given his backup role to date. There are touch fouls that often don't get called if a player doesn't sell it a little. I see a lot of Paul's attributes in Lowry, including toughness, and I like it. ;)

Maybe if he'd act like he gave a **** out there New Orleans could steal a game.

I see no fight or heart in New Orleans, and the blame should be placed squarely on Chris Paul.

In his defense, the Hornets are simply outmatched out there.

Are you suggesting that Chris Paul doesn't have heart... that he doesn't care?

I've never questioned that kid's heart in all the times I've seen him play.

As you said, he has the most undertalented set of players around him compared to the rest of the WC playoff teams. When the Hornets lose this series, it won't be because of him.

I hear he is responsible for the Game 7 loss to SA last season but I didn't see that particular game so I can't comment. I do hope to see it sometime.

A first round series against the overmatched Hornets?

I'm not saying Billups won't be a HOFer but I don't think this series will be a big part of him getting there.

I'll repeat something I said earlier, this time in question form: Am I the only one who isn't super-impressed by the Nuggets team (except Chauncey) and think they were incredibly lucky to draw the Hornets in the opening round?

ANY team, and I mean ANY team except the Hornets would throw at least SOME adversity against the Nuggets and challenge their composure. But the Honey Bees are just pathetically soft for allowing the Nuggets to be so comfortable out there. I mean, are we watching the Cavs vs. Pistons? Isn't every playoff series in the vaunted Western Conference supposed to be competitive (except for Lakers/Jazz)?

I think Rockets/Lakers/Spurs could beat the Nuggets

    but Denver could be NO/Utah/Dallas

I didn't think this series would be competitive before it started. Like you, the Hornets were the team I was hoping the Rockets would face in the 1st round.

As far as the Nuggets, I agree they look better than they are because of the weak competition. It will be interesting to see how they handle some real competition in the next round(s).

Billups was a final MVP! But, it is this playoffs that show how great he is!

I'm suggesting that he isn't showing any heart in this series at all. He looks totally out of focus, and the rest of the team has taken on that personality.

Things may be different for them once they get home.

He looks more bewildered than amped up is all I'm saying.

I am not at all impressed with the Nuggets. I was thinking this during game 1 and I was thinking it while I was still interested enough to have the game on. Both teams look straight up lazy and out of focus.

    Except Chauncey, obviously.

    And Birdman. He's balling.
