He doesn't have to. His main job is to keep The Knuckleheads in check and run the offense.

Paul may steal a game but I'd be surprised if it goes 6, assuming no serious injuries.

Sure Billups won't do that but I don't see Chris Paul outplaying him neither. Where is New Orleans going to get anything from in this series?

David West is struggling with the physical play.

Peja isn't like Peja in Sac-Town.

I mean New Orleans can make this a series but if the Nuggets play like they have some sense(which is difficult for them) this series should only go 5 games.

Byron clashed with Jason Kidd, don't know that the other players had a problem with him. Took the nets to the finals and his reward was getting fired.

Getting the 2nd or 3rd seed and playing the Hornets in the 1st round would have been the ideal situation.

If you thought the Honey Bees had much of a chance to actually win this series, probably both. As dumb, immature and stupid as Denver plays, the Hornets just aren't good enough. A better team would be able to use the Nuggets' emotions against them and capitalize.

I think overconfidence is the biggest threat in this series for the Nuggets. But the chippy play in this game will help keep them on edge because now they dislike the opponent.

That would have been SERIOUS highlight reel material if Dahntay threw that down.

Shameful show for NO. Someone better foul someone hard to send a message. I'm sure they made the Katrinians proud tonight.

The NBA Playoffs have been a huge letdown so far in terms of hoping for competitive games.

Of course I'm glad the Rockets blew out the Blazers, but the playoffs started out great with the Bulls/Celtics game and went downhill from there until the Magic/76ers game which was a blowout until the Sixers came back at the end so I rally didn't watch most of that game.

I hope the Game 2's are better, other than hoping the Rockets blows Portland out again.

I don't think their was anyway for us to control that by the last set of games.

If we beat the Mavericks, the Nuggets would have had to beat the Blazers for us to get that 3-6 matchup. Otherwise, it was the 2-7 against the Mavs.

I was just talking in general. I've been saying we wanted the Hornets in the 1st round for weeks. I was shocked at how many people picked the Blazers in that poll on the main page. The Blazers were probably one of our better possible matchups, but not the best, imo.

Billups doesn't have to be this hot for the Nuggets to win. He can put up pedestrian statistics as long as he keeps the knuckleheads in check and runs the offense.

Paul could blow him away statistically in every remaining game and the Nuggets may still sweep.

I'm guessing Peja will miss at least one game this series with some kind of injury.
