It seems like Melo picks up a couple of really stupid fouls every game.

Billups has his work cut out for him if he wants to keep these talented knuckleheads in check.

If the Nuggets were a band, they'd be called Chauncey and The Knuckleheads.

I repeat: The Nuggets are lucky they got such a sorry team to play against. Maybe Melo will show a pulse in the 2nd half and they blow the Hornets out.

Chris Paul is very talented, no doubt about it. But he's such a cry baby, I just can't stand him. David West is a good jump shooter that's about it, but he and the rest of New Orleans think him as a super star.

The Nuggets, with those athleticism and talents, they always play out of control. Without Billups, they would be 4 games and out again. But man, I just love Chauncey.

That's pretty much how I see it. The Hornets probably wouldn't have been able to sweep, but they'd have around a 50/50 chance to win the series.

The Nuggets have more than enough talent to be a dangerous team. If Chauncey is able to orchestrate things, and the knuckleheads don't start losing their cool and try to do too much individually, I could see this series being a sweep, maybe 5 games.

If the Nugs take more than 5 games to beat these sorry Hornets, pencil the Mavs into the WCFs.

LOL, I was just contemplating that.

The one thing I will say is that refs miss a lot of those touch fouls that do impact shooters. By exaggerating it, Paul got a call that may not have been made. Dahntay clearly put a hand on the left side of his body.

I wouldn't mind if our guards did that more. Lowry is pretty good at it, even if it is to a lesser extent.

Did Butler even touch Billups? He was so far from that jumpshot.

No doubt. I'm with you on that. Too many fiery personalities on both sides, especially the Nuggets.

LOL, a gimpy t-mac is probably better than Melo in the playoffs. At least McGrady, with all his injuries, shows up. Melo plays like he's the guard version of Brian Scalabrine.

To Melo's credit, at least he's grabbing boards and getting to the line.

You're right though, he's underperformed year in and year out in the playoffs.

Great game so far! But Hornets look like they are playing dirty, not hard nosed grit, but just dirty. They are bumping with shoulders, flopping, hard screens. Maybe I'm being biased and the Nuggets are playing the same, but I just tuned in to the 3rd and it looks like mostly Hornets are playing dirty.

    Yup

Also CP3 and Tyson Chandler seem to be getting into the trash talking game with them.

Is CP3 talking to Billups or the refs?

The more physical it gets, the better for Denver if they keep their composure. The Hornets are softies AND they like to throw tantrums.

If Melo would just play decent, this is no contest.

If Paul goes to the bench for even a few minutes, this could quicly turn into a 20+ point lead for the Nuggets. It may happen with Paul in the game.

I bet we won't see David West tapping any nuggets on their cheeks like he did Dirk last year.
