yeah im sure KD is just going into depression over the respect you're saying you won't give him after just winning the finals mvp and title. might need to be checked on by team officials and dr's

You can say that, but durant leaving allowed him to jack up more shots and get the MVP which led to more endorsements and even more money and a huge contract extension with the thunder. Durant leaving literally made him hundreds of millions of dollars.

That is true, but it's still harder to score, rebound, and pass though inefficiently on a much weaker team than the Warriors.

They will seal their fate as a non-contender.

Not at all. There are a ton of great players that have never won a chip. Barkley, harden, baylor, malone.

You think westbrooks better than harden?

Dude harden will win a chip. Westbrook will not.... Westbrook will go down as a better player than Barkley and Malone... that teams caters to his stat chasing

Westbrook will most likely not be considered better than Barkley or Malone. Westbrook is higher skilled version of Francis and Marbury. Regardless of that he will still be shadow of what he is now when his athleticism fades. His shooting will get even worse and he will bounce out of the league fairly quick.

Espn continues to suck that Westbrook dick. It is completely laughable to compare Westbrook winning a worthless mvp to Durant winning a championship

Depends on how you look at the nuances of the word "history." Sure, in about 70 years when Durant is old or dead, people from the future may one day stumble upon a wikipedia page about how many rings he won and think "that is a lot." But no s**ts will be given at that point. Do you care that Sam Jones won 12 championships and went to 5 All Star games? Or that Jim Pollard won 5 rings and was also a 5 time All Star?

The legacy that players nowadays care about is in the short and medium term. Within the lifetime of their relevancy. And people will still remember in a few years or even 1-2 decades that KD jumped ship to a 73 win dominant team, and made the NBA that much less competitive. Just like how many people downplay Lebron's 2 rings from Miami, but his ring in CLE was basically worth 10x as much.

lol at getting bounced out of the league fairly quickly... the season he had this year already tops the best statistical season that Barkley or Malone ever had...Wb still has 6 great years ahead of him on a team that will likely be him or bust = all stats are his

Why all the hate? Russ just wants to establish his legacy as the greatest basketball player in the history of Oklahoma City... you know, except for that one year Chris Paul played there.

Durant leaving for the Warriors devalued both the championship and the MVP - it turned the Warriors into the Globetrotters and the Thunder into performance art.

We will see I guess. In 3-4 years I say his numbers will be waaaay down. The other 2 players had won MVP's also.

Vs the other alternative in which he leaves and they are even more of a non-contender.

Yea no worries.. Im just thinking when all is said and done Westbrook has a chance to be or is on that path... Malone and Barkley are hall of famers but its possible with the system they have in OKC forWestbrook...

I think loyalty in professional sports is silly. Teams are definitely not loyal to the players, so I think it's silly to expect or even idolize loyalty from the players side.
