The clipper fan base hates George ...he folded in the Nugget series....but not sure they would do a George for Westbrook trade straight up unless we are blowing it up those draft picks would be worthless
Alright... 1. I never said small ball was completely on Morey. In fact, I specifically said you CAN'T put all the blame on him. However, absolving him completely of the idea is idiotic. 2. I never said it was good to have 2 non-shooters next to Harden. 3. I made it clear enough that I think Tilman is a problem Either you quoted the wrong post, you can't read, or you're just being combative for no reason, but you sure as hell enjoy putting words in other people's mouths.
James Harden and Russell Westbrook Super Max Contracts is the real concern. And not having China Advertising Money paying off most of their $80 Million Contract each year. Plus they lost Shoe Sales in China. Harden and Westbrook are thinking about leaving because China isn't supporting the Rockets. Harden and Westbrook are all about making Money, Buying Cars, Mansion, Fashion, Traveling Not Championships.
Who cares though? I mean LeBron and every other player tries to drag his friends to the team too, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't; it's a management job to absorb the feedback, ignore them when necessary and get their buy in when they can. Players are welcome to have preferences. It would be sillly if they didn't. But, you don't have to humor them.
not exactly idiotic when it maximized what the roster could do as a whole, even if that meant it wasn't good enough. It damn sure wasn't good enough playing 2 non shooters next to harden. That's what you do as a coach and a gm like morey. You try to make the pieces you have fit as best as you can. Even if a piece like westbrick sucks
My understanding is the only deal the Rockets would accept for Harden is two players under long term contracts. So guys like Ayton and Booker or Simmons and Embiid. At least that is what I have read on Twitter. Or possibly KAT and Russell. Other than that, they won’t trade Harden for scraps.
Why is this being publicly reported? Trade Harden now before his value plummets. This time next year with Harden demanding a trade, his value would be much lower then what It is now. What’s the point of waiting, they are already going public that they are “concerned”
Harden and Westbrook remind me Biggio and Bagwell. Because of their large Contracts and the team being bad in the Playoffs with the Supporting players being below Average.
I feel we would be in the same boat if we kept CP3. We traded one bad contract for another bad contract. Like a baseball infielder hobbled by a leg injury.....eventually the ball finds you. In a switch everything (NBA) defense...eventually the opposing team sets up a favorable matchup against your 6’0” CP3 or 6’3” Westbrook or 6’3” Rivers or 6’3” Eric Gordon or 6’3” McLemore. I don’t know what D’Antoni was thinking?
Come off of it and think logically about it. This would hurt Harden/Westbrook and the Rockets. It goes without saying but work together, listen and understand each other's point of view and work it out so everyone is happy. Don't get caught up in feelings and short term thinking.
Geezus, can you even read??? I said absolving him of the idea is idiotic. As in, "freeing (him) from blame." was idiotic. I never said small ball was idiotic. Please try and read before posting a response as quickly as your fingers can type.
Paul George for Russell Westbrook can help boost the Rockets. Paul George Defense is way better than Westbrook, His Length and knowing how to move without the Ball. Which is Silas Offense.
Right. I mean the difference is LeBron never recruited somebody as actively harmful to the team as Westbrook, but yes. I have a feeling Morey may have resisted Harden's trade demand, but Tilman pushing for it as well ended any hope of that.
This is literally what put us in this situation, if Harden and CP3 worked it out we wouldn't be in this situation maybe. And just to be clear, i don't blame CP3 for this, for as b****y as he is, i'm sure he had no desire to leave the Rockets, and the only thing he wanted was to win.
I'm tired of the diva attitude so yes, give me a team that grows together and then adds a star at some point through the draft or trade who really wants the responsibility of leading a team. Harden has made steps, but in the end he's too comfortable losing a game by just hoisting threes and iso ball. If he's still here, I'll root for him if he shows to adapt to Silas' system and embrace being off the ball, moving around and different ways to get to spots on the floor - from close to long range. But I won't shed a single tear if he wants out.
I’m torn over wanting a positive make over and wanting to roll it back with an addition or two + the new voice, philosophies of SS.
