I like Jrue, although he still has a questionable ability to shoot the longball (even if he's way better than Russ)... though who knows how much our offense will change now that both MDA and Morey are gone.

I mean, the last spot in the playoff race was for a team with a 47% record and they end up at 42% under Suns, Grizzlies, Kings...i'm not sure if it was them trying to make the playoff or the conference just being generally bad. Regardless, Russ is still a bad fit there. in terms of age, salary, playstyle, position (since they have Ball) so, i just don't see it.

At this point there’s basically nothing I say no to that sends him out without shipping out picks and gets long term salary off the books.

    Absolutely.

Harden can carry scrubs to the 2nd round.

Ideally we get decent return back though.

Do we even have any picks left to ship out? lol... Foreelz, tho, I think the Rockets literally HAVE to make this work with minimal draft pick consideration, which is what scares me. We either have to take on even worse contracts (who!?), or just let him rot on the bench I guess?

Honestly I feel like it makes the most sense to trade him back to OKC. They have non-winning/money related reasons to want him back, and we could use Paul back, too. And I bet he'd be willing to come back.

... Now if only we could get Capela...

His catch and shoot % is higher than his overall average. He’ll get more of those off Harden instead of having to create his own so much.

If Dell Demps was around then this would happen. Griffin ain’t touching Westbrook

Well maybe you don’t remember but before the season was interrupted they were way at the bottom of the standings then went on an unbelievable run once Zion came back and just came up short at the end. They were going for it.

Most people even picked them to get that final 8th spot in the bubble but that didn’t happen probably cause they were banged up and Portland and Phoenix just couldn’t lose.

And I know the chances of this happening are slim but the way you see it might not be how they see it. We just have to see how everything plays out it’s always a possibility.

    $$$ work in this trade.

    https://tradenba.com/trade-machine

PHI: Jrue Holiday, JJ Reddick + swap picks with Hornets (3rd overall)
CHA: Russ Westbrook, Danuel House + 76ers FRP
NOP: Terry Rozier, Cody Zeller + Pacers FRP
IND: Devonte Graham, Eric Gordon + Rockets FRP
HOU: Ben Simmons, Myles Turner, Matisse Thybulle, PJ Washington + Hornets SRP

    6'5 Harden/6'3 McLemore
    6'5 Thybulle (23)/6'5 Nwaba
    6'7 RoCo/6'5 Tucker
    6'10 Simmons (24)/6'7 Washington (22)
    6'11 Turner (24)/MLE

Get rid of everyone crying about their role AND Rockets save 4M as well.
