Nobody will care. It's just insane that both teams easily had it wrapped up and gave the games away. It gives him more stats and bolsts their record. Quadruple whammy. Just insane chokes in back to back games. Hopefully the national pressure isn't too much to swing the vote when common sense knows it belongs to Harden.

So everyone is crowning this stat chaser after beating the Magic in OT? Get two 50 point triple doubles in one season in regulation, and I might consider him a MVP. Until then, I know who the real MVP is. Hint: it's the dude with the gnarly beard.

WE aren't getting anything. Some players who are currently wearing a Rockets Jersey are possibly going to win something and then one or more of them are probably going to be gone within 2 or 3 years tops. Try to remember that winning awards and championships is for THEM not for US. We get to foot the bill of their salary so THEY can win something. There will never be a wiki page saying you won anything.

(Sorry for being so abrasive. Blame it on the A-A-A-A-A-Alcohol.)

This is a dumb post. Do you understand sports? And fandom?

Yep, I do, I've been under the delusion that the team or individual winning something was going to somehow affect me one way or another. Fandom is delusion. Being a Superfan is a sad mindset because your mood is affected by someone else's successes and failures other than you're own and they are not ever going to know or want to know whether you specifically cared or not how they did. They love to be idolized, they don't love YOU. A lot of these guys don't even enjoy what they do, they do it for a paycheck and we have people losing their minds when they lose or singing to the heavens when they win like the loss or win was worthy of it. It's an unfortunate state to be in. I was there once. I hope anyone under that spell is relieved of it because it's a curse and turns good people into fools. Take a look at Dallas Superfan AKA Captain Jackass. We have a lot of people on here who are exactly like him. It's dysfunctional.

You're right Tinman, James Harden going for the MVP of the NBA and taking a devastating blow to his chances tonight has nothing to do with the Rockets. Makes sense.....NOT!!!

It seems like you care more about Westbrook than Harden. I don't see Harden on the title of this thread.

Sorry this is some kim kardasian, justin beiber, chris brown behavior.
Not Rockets fan like at all

......further I would argue this has very much to do with the future of the Rockets. Free Agents are very much attracted to wanting to play with the MVP of the league and Harden being runner up (again) will hurt our chances of acquiring another star. It is cool to sign to play with the MVP, nobody cares about the runner up.

I only care if the Rockets win the next game.
The people who vote for MVP take care of that result.

If the Harden doesn't get the MVP, please stop watching the Rockets so us real Rockets fans can watch the playoffs.
We only care about winning. Everything else is gravy.

You have the intelligence of a peanut, but if you did actually have any reading skills you'd see that I called him Westbrick as opposed to YOUR Westbrook.

Since you severely lack intelligence, let me spell it out to you.....winning is not what has occurred during the past 24 years and while we are improved this year we are not winning the championship over Durant and the Warriors. Now your pea sized brain cannot see the bigger picture of where Harden winning the MVP could help us so I will not waste any more time with you. Good luck on your quest for the championship where nothing else can be acceptable and fun on the way there.

There's no chance anyone will want to play with Westbrick any more than players wanted to play with Kobe.....hell Westbrick makes Kobe look like a team player.

Apparently this dude thinks if he wins the MVP people would love him and the rockets will crumble

What great confidence you have in the Rockets when you say we aren't winning a championship when the playoffs haven't started

Go listen to your Chris brown records

WB will never be successful in the NBA. After we whip their asses in the post season I can't see why any star would want to play with him. If the media and WB are fine with him chucking and stat padding so be it. The rockets will get back to winning in the mean time.
