The guy who leads Westboro must have some mental health issues. As a young attorney he fought for civil rights. I have heard several news reports about all the good he did in the 60s. His current actions seem contrary to someone who fought for civil rights.
Ordinarily I'm for rights to free speech and all, but what these loons are doing is a disgrace to every decent human being in the world. Forget Baptist, Christianity, God, or Religion. These people give people a bad name.
Are they figuring that by the time the courts rule it unconstitutional, these funerals will already be over? Won't the WBC have to come out and do the protest so they can get arrested and then challenge the law? I suppose that would mean you only have to put up with them long enough to load them into the paddy wagon though.
I would love to put all Neo-Nazis and all militant islamists into a huge arena and have them fight each other, if that were to keep them off everyone else.

Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist "Church" have been picketing military funerals and anywhere else they deem to be punishable by God's will since 1991. their sick albeit large family has over 71 members as of 2007 according to the wiki page. are people just now hearing about these whackadoos?
