don't Christie, Bobby Jackson, Peeler and the blooming Gerald Wallace play for the Kings, add that to the big 5 of Bibby, Peja, Divac, B Miller and Webber their 9 man rotation is still pretty damn good.
This is records based, not seeds 1. Spurs - Biggest problem is integrating new talent; who will hit 4th quarter shots with Stephen Jackson and Steve Kerr gone? 2. Mavericks - Their style is more favorable to the regular season than the post season. Look for even more points from this season's roster 3. Minnesota - Sczczerbiak should really benefit from the additional firepower on the club; Can Olowokandi really help? 4. LA Lakers - Should win their share of games, but Kobe's legal issues, Kobe's knee, Shaq's toe, and very suspect depth will combine to bring the Lakers down more than people expected 5. Phoenix - A very talented and young team, they should benefit from their experience of last season 6. Sacramento - Webber's coming off a major injury. Divac is a year older. Depth is not as formidable as the past. No post defenders worth mentioning. Sorry Kings. You missed your chance in '02 7. Houston - Yao's a year better, Van Gundy's on board, and they've added depth. Look for continued growth in years to come 8. Portland - In 2005, they'll finally miss the playoffs for the first time in a hundred years. 2004 is a preview
1) DALLAS - lots of firepower...they'll dominate the defenseless NBA and sputter out in the playoffs again. 2) LA LAKERS - will also win plenty of games, but I don't think they'll get any further than last year in the playoffs. 3) SAN ANTONIO - Tim Duncan...MVP candidate #1 of 2. 4) MINNESOTA - KG...MVP candidate #2 of 2. He's finally got help. 5) SACRAMENTO - ultimately a better chance at a title than the Lakers or Mavs. 6) PORTLAND - still tons of talent that will never be pulled together well enough. 7) HOUSTON - finally enough open spots with Utah falling out...we'll see what they've got in the playoffs. 8) PHOENIX - solid young team, Amare gets even tougher. --- 9) Seattle 10) La Clippers 11) Memphis 12) Golden St. 13) Denver 14) Utah In 2-3 years I can really see the power shifting in the west a little...Kings get older, who knows what happens to the Lakers with Kobe maybe leaving and Shaq getting older. It could be down to SA, Houston, Dallas, and Minny and probably Phoenix. Portland will never get that bunch together.
The question was not asking about Playoff Seeding only Western Ranking.I see Clippers making big strides this season and I see the Kings falling.
Dallas was lucky just to make to the WCFs. If Webber doesn't go down in game 2, Kings take that series in 5 or 6.
Says who? With Webber playing in game 2 dallas scored what? 83 points in the FIRST HALF? There is no guarantee that the Kings would have won with Webber. With your logic the Mavs would have finished of San Antonio in 5 or 6 had Dirk not been hurt.
Well Kayman its realy going to be a very close race in the West, both at the top and at the bottom. The Clipboys have a deep and talented team, they have dedication for the first time[MONEY] and a decent Coach.[well so so!] They will be fighting the Monics, Temphis, all that Jazz and Snortland for the final spot. Snortland runs into personel problems in the second half of the season and without Scootty Pipphen to sort them out and no Sabooonis to show them how to play, they implode!! Its realy tough in the West this season but because the Mavis and Lukers just have so many Mature selfish 'Star' players there isnt enough ball to go arround and this is a sure way to start a conflict. Just look at the Lukers already![Shaft and Toby]. In the case of the Spares , its just depends how many times the commentators and reporter mention that the Spares would realy have prefered Play Writer Jason Kiddley. Frenchy Poker, gets a Girl in trouble and cant handle the idea of responsibility, refuses to practice and Cooch Poopofovitch suspends him. The Spares become desperate as they slide down the Mid-West Div,Timmy Donkin insists that he is the best big Man in Texxas [399lbs] , Mao Ying scores 45 on him in the next game, Rickets win and the Spares season is looking like third in the Mid West. If the Rickets realy do what JV Gandy wants them to do, then this season is a great opportunity for them to show that they are the biggest surprise of the 03/04 NBA Season!!! .
PS. The Wolfguys and the litter eat up everything that is placed in their way, only when they become overweight do they look vunerable and need to be caged.
PPS FONIX runs into trouble in its second game when Studemire-in-the mud makes such a big DUNK that he breaks the laws of gravity and becomes a permanent fixture in the Rickets Boyota BB Chamber.
The wolfboys will will be very dangerous this season. I predict they will show their teeth and growl... ...and as always, they will return to their cages immediately after the season ends and howl...
Why somebody puts Phoenix better than rockets??? And why the rockets can't be at 4th place for example. Read this: KINGS, LAKERS, SPURS, MAVS AND WOLVES HAVE NOT A BETTER TEAM THAN ROCKETS!!!!
My predictions are always wrong but here goes... 1) Mavericks 2) Lakers 3) Kings 4) Spurs 5) Timberwolves 6) Trailblazers 7) Rockets 8) Suns 9) Utah 9) Grizzlies 11) Sonics 12) C 1. Spurs 2. Lakers 3. T-wolves 4. Kings 5. Mavs 6. Houston 7. Phoenix 8. Portland 9. Memphis 10. Clippers 11. Denver 12. Seattle 13. Utah 14. Golden State
