If a star player means we at least come closer than 2 and even 3 to 1 on free throw attempts, then yes we need one. The fact is the grizz would have had to be clearly the better team to beat the spurs in this series. They would have had to win W/O getting any calls whatever. But that aside, the grizz didn't play well for their standards either. To wit: the best of the best teams get sweep. There is shame of course, but to use it against the grizz, being only one year in playoffs is ignorant.

There was one game in which the Grizz wen t from being up by 7 to down by 12 in a 15 minute stretch. In that stretch, only one foul was called on San Antonio. They went the entire first 33 minutes of the game without being in the penalty
