I wonder if Drexler laughed while his loaded Portland team's kept on losing NBA championships.

I wonder if he would have smiled if we lost games 7s to Utah or Phx in 95.

Things were different for Clyde his last year--his performance and attitude.

    West quest at rest
With no zest in his nest
After a test of his best
    By a guest west pest.
Alas, no jest to poor West
Just a dizz from a fizz of the Grizz.

Meanwhile, sirs....trophy furs give Spurs purrs.

The sweep didn't shock me at all. We played our kryptonite and lost 4-0. You guys played the team in the top 4 that you matched up with best and lost 4-1.

I still called them being in the playoffs ("sleeper in the west") first... aside from MemphisX... that is. ;)

    Irked or not.

If a star player means we at least come closer than 2 and even 3 to 1 on free throw attempts, then yes we need one. The fact is the grizz would have had to be clearly the better team to beat the spurs in this series. They would have had to win W/O getting any calls whatever.

But that aside, the grizz didn't play well for their standards either.

To wit: the best of the best teams get sweep. There is shame of course, but to use it against the grizz, being only one year in playoffs is ignorant.

What? S.A. was clearly the better team and got the same number of raw deals on calls. However, that said, the Grizz had a great year and deserve congratulations and praise for one and all, despite West being "irked."

There was one game in which the Grizz wen t from being up by 7 to down by 12 in a 15 minute stretch. In that stretch, only one foul was called on San Antonio. They went the entire first 33 minutes of the game without being in the penalty:eek:
