Kinda sad. Wes will be one of those guys that comes and goes in Rockets history without much fanfare. He seemed to be a class act and worked his butt off despite advancing age and injuries. If he leaves, I wish him nothing but good luck.

exactly i wish wesley the best

it sickens me the number of people here who are happy to see the guy leave, with an attitude like that it wouldnt be a surprise why FAs wouldn't want to come here. wesley did nothing but come to work everyday and worked his butt off despite his age and size. he played tough and hard this season when at times he probably was the only starter on the team from the previous years playoffs. the guy is the kind of veteran any team would want. i wish him the best, but i still hoped he would have signed a vet min with us for another year or two to come off the bench.

    Wesley to sign with Cavs

$3.6mil. for 2 years. and that's the contract Flip Murray got? i'd like Flip for $1.8M/yr.

Its not the fact that we now lost another player in Wesley but that we are losing more players period and the FA list is getting thinner. We have to make a move REAL,REAl, Soon.. Are the Rockets maybe looking to Tank this season ?

Snyder and Head rotation--who starts is somehwat immaterial because both will get 20 minutes/game, with McGrady likely getting some spot minutes here or there for matchup reasons.

I WISH that Head was to a point where he could play the one now, but sadly I just don't think he is.

I was thinking about that exact same scenario earlier. I don't know if Cleveland would bite though. I want to get rid of Juwan as much as the next guy, but I honestly don't know if it would be all that great for us.

    What are you talking about???

We lost Swift, Bogans, & Wesley

    We added Battier, Snyder, Novak

I'll take the latter ANY day of the week... I'm GLAD Swift and Wesley are gone. They were both part of the problem. I would have been OK resigning Bogans, but Snyder is better so we don't need him.

And I'm sure we'll sign either Marcus Banks, Fred Jones or possibly BOTH for depth.

Tank the season.. come on man, we are a BETTER team right now than we were at any point last season...

    Agreed

Splitting the MLE between Vspan and House (if possible) and the using the 4.2 TE for a big. I'd take this deal and run.

I don't like House at all. He has no D, and only be on fire when he make the first shot in every game. Too unstable.

I would pass on House. Phoenix plays stats are inflated because of their offense. And his numbers still are not too good.

Second that ... I'd rather NOT have Eddie House on this team, and I don't even need to look at his stats to form that opinion. I've watched him play...he takes bad shots too often, is very streaky and his defense is generally non-existent. He looks like a low basketball-IQ guy and I suspect he'll end up in JVG's doghouse easily. The plusses he does have are his footspeed and extremely quick release on his jumper.

There's a good reason why he saw very little court time during the playoffs. He's a net-negative guy for the Suns.

I'm kind of sad about Wesley leaving -- I wouldn't mind having him come off the bench for us for 10-20 minutes.

VSPAN is way overrated on this board.

House wouldn't fit with the Rockets. 6'1" shooting guard with no other real skills, eh, pass.

Wesley was showing his age at the START of last season.

It's all downhill from there for Wesley. Good guy, and I was glad he was a Rocket, but it's definitely time to move on.

Best of luck to you, Wesley!

Wesley being gone just means Luther Head gets more minutes if he isn't traded. Which is a good thing.
