Thanks David, for all your hard work and leadership. You will be missed.

PS: Wish you were 10 years younger.

I am grateful to wes for the kind of heart he put into every game. although he was old and lacked size, he never let up and it was clear to all of us that he always played 100%. i see shane to bring even more of that next year, but i wish david wesley all the best, if he does move on to another team. it was unfortunate that our team had to go through all those injuries, but he definitely stepped up when others were hurt. honestly, i don't really like his play all that much, but i can still appreciate him.

Good riddance. His best days are far behind him now. Any bets that Cleveland will regret signing him by the end of next season?

    Here we go:

    1. Use the TE to get Reggie Evans
    2. Split the MLE for Rasual Butler and Eddie House
    3. Give John Lucas 3 a min. contract
    4. Sign Cato to the Vet. Min.

Then the Rox will have good role players along side their great nucleus of Yao and Mcgrady!!!

50 wins would be in reach

If we're gonna get House, why not get Flip? Neither play defense, both are all offense. I guess maybe House can handle the point

No this is all we need:

1)Sign Marcus Banks. I don't think it would require the full MLE.
2)Bring back Cato for the vet minimum
3)Use Moneyball to sign a shooting guard. Rashard Anderson, Pat Carroll, any shooting guard who can shoot.
4)Sign JL3. We'd have to offer a guaranteed contract with an option for a 2nd year, and we'd probably have to give a lil more than the minimum since there are reportedly 9 teams interested in him, and 3 are willing to give him more than the minimum guaranteed.
    5)Sign Steve Novak
6)Hope Sura is healthy; if not, more time for Head, Novak, and Howard (TMac to the 2, Battier to 3)

    Alston/Banks/JL3
    Sura/Head/Moneyball FA
    TMac/Novak/Bowen
    Battier/Howard/Hayes
    Yao/Mutombo/Cato

    Bold = Free agency

As for Flip or House I like em both, just get one of them whoever it is it will be a plus for us. I cant say I like Banks its cool if he comes but rather have FLip or House.

Yeah House would be our back-up point.

    Roster would look like this:

    C Yao/Deke/Cato
    PF Gooden/Evans/Hayes
    SF Battier/Novak/Bowen
    SG Mcgrady/Butler/Head
    PG Alston/House/JL3

Sura is still a huge question mark~!

I like this team, I think that the Rockets would really add some great depth to the roster with these deals!

I'm not to big on Banks either. I think House would provide a little more instant offense off the bench.

I would say this would give the Rockets the size they needed in the PF/SF/SG positions that they have lacked in the past.

Man, Damon Jones suck. I don't want Damon Jones. Old big lipped fool.

I'm kinda sad we lost Wesley...he would've made a nice bench guy this season. Maybe we can sign Jim Jax again?

This is freakin unbelievable @#@#&^*%$ So are wegoing to just watch all our players walk away ? I mean this is probably whats going on between the players:
RP 1: Man I'm gettin out of town this team is going to suck next yr.
RP 2: I know and CD and the front office aint doin nuthin.
RP 1: Yeah I'll take whatever just anywhere but here
RP 2: Yeah me too, Hold on I'm right behind you.
    @#$%^&*&@%#$%@&*()*T^%#

Is the front office doing anything at all I mean literally ? Do they see that we have like only Yao and T-Mac left ? They better pull something really big off...

Does Yao or T-Mac see whats happening and do the care and do they say anything to CD or Les ?

good now the Cavs get a little worse. Did anyone see him at the end of the season he was done. He might be good for 10 mins off the bench but no more. and not consistantly.

    D. Wesley's last decent year was year before last, the new era Rocket"s miracle season. It was also Barry's last good year, Mutombo's last good year, and Sura's last good year. It was a magical run, I really enjoyed it. But it is now a distant memory. Good luck David, you are a really great guy and lucky too, because I thought your career was over. I bet you did too.

I think combining this news with the Snyder trade it is safe to say the Rockets are going in a different direction at SG. Personally, I like it. Wesley works hard on defense but people can just shoot over him and there's nothing he can do, and clearly he's just a spot-up shooter now, and not a terribly effective one.

Why would the Cavs want Wesley when they already have Snow for the leadership role? Plus they have a rookie Shannon Brown that they really like. I don't see where he would play.

Well, so far they have traded for Battier, bid for James, and traded for Snyder. Their FA losses have been Bogans and possibly Wesley. We still have the MLE to use in full or split on guys like Banks, Jeffries, Lorenzen Wright, and Spanoulis, while our large TE exception needs a dancing partner and can wait if nothing good is available. What do you want? Gooden or Bonzi with the MLE? Not likely.

As far as additional roster moves, I hate the idea of Rasual Butler. He is a stand-still shooter who is too slow laterally to play the two and to weak to play the three.

I also don't like trading for Evans. I like him as a player, but how is he any different than Chuck Hayes? Hayes was almost as good as Evans last year and will be better this season. House is too much of a mixed bag for me.
