Were we better off the Detroit trade fell through?

    Landry to the Kings does not work, because Landry only made about $2-3 mil. T-Mac was needed either way. It so happens that Larry Hughes contract was traded with Landry to make the salaries match.

    If it was only Landry and filler to the Kings, then NY wouldn't have care. NY wanted T-Mac's contract. The Rockets were prepared to trade it to Sacramento.

    So, you think if it was Billups only, the NY deal would be better, but if it was Billups and Hamilton, that Detroit deal would have been hands down better? Fine.

    Of course we're better off that the Detroit deal fell through. Although I think Sean Elliott was a nice player, Big Shot Bob proved to be a Rocket legend. You think Elliott could've covered Barkley that well?!
