KG probably got paid more than Yao. These guys also travel and tour the country, amateur athletics was franchised to Addidas and Nike ten years ago.

    dude,

SF played his heart out the series, if Yao stepped up his game like SF, we might have been able to win the series. I dont think Yao screwed up, he just didnt ste it up to the plate. Instead of a home run, he got a BB.

So when your PG has a good game, that doesn't help the team and other players? BS! When someone like Steve is able to have a complete game, he demands attention and provides tons of opportunities for his teammates. Cause and effect.

am I the only one who remembers that Odem was an off-injured malcontent two years ago (when this would have gone down)

Odom looked pretty clutch tonight for his first trip to the playoffs. Can't really say Yao ming has been clutch yet.

Odom is the man. I've liked his game since he came into the league, always thought he was a KG lite kind of player. I knew he would become a top player in this league once he got healthy and got his head on straight.

BTW, I admit, I was one of the people pushing for a trade with the Clips for Odom when we got the #1 pick.

Since when does Steve and Cat wanting to trade a pick mean that a trade was ever even possible. If Steve were the GM Moochie would still be our backup PG..

Absolutely positively wrong if we don't end up with Yao.

That's why players don't get involve in personnel decision because they does not have enough knowledge.

The only reason Cat & Steve don't want Yao is because like everyone else, they think Yao is a bust like Kwame Brown.

I was against the trade then and I'm against it now. Short term, they would've been better since I do think they'll fit with Steve better, long term (if Yao developes), we are much better off with Yao.

Now if we lose Steve (trade to get a team to fit Yao) and Yao doesn't become a top 3 player in the league after after his rookie contract expires and he gets the max, we'd be in trouble.

Definitely the right choice drafting Yao, he is probably the 2nd best thing to happen to Houston behind the Dream.

But, a Francis-Cat-Odom-Amare-Cato would have been pretty good. We would be the most exciting team in the league, but also the dumbest. It is something to ponder instead of 3 Tony Parker threads on a Rockets BBS board.

we would be the team that cant shoot with that lineup. Streak shooters all in the lineup.

Read my post on the thread that talks more about that.
I would've puked with that starring line up.

I tolerate 3 tony parker threads a lot more, than even a single sentence, suggesting that line up.

Do you really believe that the NBA would let the lakers lose the serie?
All those BS calls against Yao and the whole team? Just how are you supposed to play defense and be aggressive if everyone else can bang and touch Shaq and you can't. Do you really think that the last Yao foul by Malone was justified, just coincident that happened at the most crucial time?

Anyone who compares a 1st round series against the Lakers to a 1st round series against the Hornets to the detriment of the team playing the Lakers should be summarily executed for being too stupid to live.

There are trades out there for decent value for Yao. Nothing I've seen from Odom suggests that he's that good. Thee East is terrible. Neither of the teams in that series would have made the playoffs out West.
