Until Morey/Howard/ Harden or all three go the rockets wont win a championship.Basing your team solely off analytics is complete garbage

That's proving to be very fluky with how bad we are this year. This type of regression doesn't happen anywhere else in the NBA without losing a high level player, much less GAINING a high level player.

Hold on guys, sooner or later Ariza will be on his contract year and then we'll win it all.

Do you think Vivek would accept a Howard for Boogie trade? Dude loves the names.

The Western Conference was no cakewalk in 2015 , how can you "luck" your way into the WCF's with half your lineup injured half the season? It was so brutal the defending champs, returning everyone, were in danger of missing the playoffs until the last month of the season.

over 90+ games, "luck" is a factor on any given night, or given period, or given possession, but you dont' get to 90+ games unless you have a ****load of skill as well.

Yup - Morey got the style of play right - it's just not suitable for this roster.

Yeah. Not Morey's fault. We should fire the guy responsible for the roster.

    Oh...

And to be honest, I have no idea how. I get the Rockets beating the Mavs. Dallas was a bad team that imploded in the playoffs with the Rondo situation plus the injuries to Parsons, Jefferson, and Harris. We got reeeeeeally lucky with the Clippers. I think them being completely exhausted following the Spurs series helped bigtime. As the Semifinals wore on, you could see they had nothing left in the tank. I still maintain that fatigue was the biggest factor(and completely overlooked by the media) in that Game 6 comeback.

Basically the Rockets got to the WCF because they were good enough in the regular season to land the 2nd seed. Give them all the credit in the world for that(including McHale), but they're never gonna come close to achieving that kind of regular season success again if they don't either put a system in place that utilizes the talent on this roster or they replace these players with ones who can execute Moreyball properly. Right now, they've got guys who can't defend, can't take care of the basketball, and can't shoot.

You do have an idea how, you posted it yourself.

This isn't the NCAA where NC State has one shining moment because of a series of cascading brainfarts/off nights on a Monday.

Tell them about Spurs losing last game to put us as 2nd seed. They rested all their starters last game and lost. We went from 6th to 2nd seed because of it

    This.

I dont care for the WCF visit because the clips have their own mental issues...

But last year is a WHOLE season. This is just over 10 games. We cant call last season a fluke. Not yet, anyway.
