What's funny is that these people are also protesting against their own. Guess who works at those McD's in France and Germany? Not Americans...
But couldn't the same thing be said about American boycotting hurting some Americans? The whole boycotting thing to me just seems juvenile.
Excuse me, Mr. Clutch, but it was you who made the following accusation against me: "When another country does something wrong, you defend it by pointing out something similar the US has done." Since you could not provide any proof for this accusation, I guess I'm safe to conclude that it was nothing more than a lie.
No, it wasn't a lie, because there is 1 example right here in this thread. If you notice my quote, I don't really say that you use this argument in other threads. In fact, my quote can be interpreted as nothing more than just accusing you of doing it ONCE. Why don't you just admit the argument makes no sense? That was my original point.
I was considering buying a German car. Now I'm looking at Japanese and American cars, because I am so furious with the Germans. Am I'm of German heritage!!!
My argument makes perfect sense. My argument (see above) was that spraypainting anti-French slogans on a French woman's garage in the Woodlands is just as stupid as what the boycotters are doing in Europe. What about that statement is so difficult for you to understand? You wouldn't happen to be a Texas A&M graduate, would you? If you are, let me know, and I'll repost it using much simpler words.
I'm currently in Portland, and demonstrators here broke the windows of McDonalds here too. Also in addition the home vandalization of a French family. A French cleaners was burned by Americans. I believe the link is in the 'Are Americans loathed all over the world?' thread. I can't remember for sure if that's the right one. I'm not showing this to illustrate that we're as stupid as they are, just to show that not everyone should be blamed for the stupid acts of a few. That does go to both sides equally.
