Teams that win game 1 with 78% of the time, but we have managed to blow the odds twice. You figure eventually the odds will go our way.

Maybe this year it will be the Rockets who will come back from a 2-0 hole and win the series in 7. Tough luck but it might happen.

Best thing we can do is keep pumping the sunshine no matter how ugly it gets.

and you still don't get it... PLAYERS STEPPED UP, when yao got out. not sheer momentum, players stepping up.

My point is we probably don't win 22 without Yao around for most of those; if he's around for all of them, we might win 30.

Bottom line: we need Yao in a major way in the playoffs; you can't fall back on a 22-game winning streak in the playoffs without your starting center.

yes, sad part is, we could have beaten more than 26 games with yao. but just because yao is out, doesn't mean things like free throws, missing layups, other fundamental mistakes shouldn't be a concern. we have to tidy up, and then we can. if we have yao and make these mistakes we still have a problem.

OMG...please tell me this is a joke. Battier controlling the offense is a recipe for disaster. Statistically, his 3pt % drops off a cliff when he's not in the short corner. Long-range misses from out front make for long rebounds which is a huge advantage for the more physically gifted Jazz.

And you want Battier to post up over Kirilenko?

You're right...we could do worse. McGrady could sprain an ankle and Scola could get 3 fouls in the 1st 4 minutes of Q1.

    Guys its not that bad

Bobby Jackson had the worst game ever... Our 3 guards shot a combined 25%..... we made stupid fouls and got dominated on the boards in the first half

    YET....
We were still up in the 3rd and had the game in our hands

We will settle down and win this series. MARK IT.

We hear crap like this from all over the media and internet. I was hoping this was the one place I could get away from all that. Guess not.

Reading this board is so depressing.

Yeah, yeah I know.. just being realistic. The other fans who think anything other than sweep are "delusional."

    Irrational, BrooksBall-quality post.

Don't give up like I did a few months ago. Anything can happen.

Even if we do end up losing this series, there is no reason to throw in the towel now, as a fan or a player.

cuz it's easier than saying "Pay attention to me, I'm a douch"

btw it's class to bail on your team now in the playoffs. reality is, this season has had SO MANY worse ups and downs it's pretty funny to act as if this last game was some kind of straw that broke the camel's back.

"LOSE IN THE PLAYOFFS??? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??? I thought if you think sunshine happy thoughts you automatically get to win all the way to the championship with no adversity... if that's what this is like I QUIT!!!! (until the next time they win when I'll be sunshine pumping again) signed, A Loser. Amen"

sheer momentum gets you 10 wins in this league? do you have to actually show up or do the officials just pencil in the W when you have this magical momentum thing going?

Where the hell are you people coming from? I've been watching the playoffs for over 20 years and I've seen sweeps. This is not a sweep. It's going 6 games as it always was. Quit panicking and grow a pair people.

Even though the Rockets lost the first game all is not over. Man, who figures that AK47 scores 20 pts. I bet he will not score 20 in game 2 and if he doesn't score 20 the Jazz would have lost game one. Rockets still have a chance just need to get game 2.

I doubt Houston plays as bad as they did in Game 1 and I believe the Rockets are capable of stealing one in Utah. Which will just about it even up the series?

Good portion of the game was close, Kirlenko was on fire last night, I don't expect that to happen every game.

We're not going to slow down Boozer, everyone kept faulting Yao for not slow him down, but Boozer is a beast, regardless of who is guarding him, besides S.A. and GS couldn't stop him either. No harm in saying we didn't try.

Boozer is a top 5 PF, best after possibly Duncan, Amare, Dirk, and Garnett.

Do we always stop those players? No.

Gm.2 is always the most important game of a series, you should know that by now
