I have not been to a hockey game in a long time, and we are up here in Montreal on Biz, so thought we would take in a Canadians game.

It was a blast, went to shoot out and the Canadians won on the 6th shot of the shootout.

One thing I noticed is that they now seem to have commercial breaks during the periods, 3 of them each....it was strange to see the game stop...

I have not been to a Hockey game in years, used to have ticket to the Aeros back when Gordie Howe and his 2 sons were playing in the WHA back in the day.

It was fun......what could be better.....Hockey in Canada...where it started....

    Very neat.....

I've never been to a hockey game but I've heard they are a lot of fun.

My relatives up north are really into North Dakota Fighting Sioux Hockey.

They have had TV time outs in the NHL for a while now. The lower leagues don't usually have them because they are rarely on TV, but they do sometimes have them for other purposes. When I was working for the team in Beaumont, we had some games where we had a 2 minute time out for promotions. We were allowed 1 per period and they had to be taken at certain times with certain restrictions. One of the weird things was one season they told us if we were going to take them we had to take them in each period, we couldn't just take it in the 3rd and not in the other two. So if they did not have promotions scheduled for the 1st or 2nd we'd just sit there and do nothing. They'd make some announcement and then we'd sit for a minute or two doing nothing.

I'm going to a Calgary Flames game at the Saddledome in February...I'm stoked.

    M8, you're in Montreal?
With all due respect to Toronto, I don't think there's a Canadian city with hotter chicks than Montreal. I forget the mall I went to while I was there, I damn near had whiplash.

That's my team . Always a crazy atmosphere at the Saddledome, just be sure to wear some red.
