I would trade both for Kobe, Wade or Lebron at this point...

Which is also why our team/player FT% is down considerably. This team does not deserve a "players coach" instead a "JVG" coach!

Yao should be the next celebrity used in those World of Warcraft commercials.

I don't get this, we always wanted Yao to be tougher on and off the court. Now Yao has the guts to go against the teammates/coach in public and ppl telling him to stfu?..

Unless he's trying to encourage the team, nobody should care about the gibberish coming out of his mouth. We've all wanted him to grow up, get tough, and stop being a baby ON the court. Now it looks like the opposite is happening. Now he's constantly whining to the refs and talking about how he misses the previous coach, etc. That's not exactly "tough".

I think that Yao stepping up to take on a leadership role is a good thing for the Rockets. They have all the talent in the world but what they don't have is someone to lead, which is what JVG provided the past few seasons.

Also....the fact that the Rockets as a whole are shooting such a low FT% shows a lack of discipline by the coaching staff.

Agree, there is no reason for shooting low FT%. Adleman must have done away with the drill that you had to make 10 baskets in a row from the free throw line before you were allowed to go home.

ok it's not like shooting 10 ft's in a row before u leave will automatically improve your percentage. some players just cant hit ft's, and our team is full of subpar ft shooters, aside from yao.

I believe Yao meant to complain he did not get enough supports from his teammates, he just could not speak this out loud. Yao should take at least half of the offense load like what it was before, having every attack starting from his hands. He is a good & unselfish passer to have his teammates involed. Tracy was shooting good but it is a team game everyone needs to be involved. Making his teammates better is why a star is a superstar. I didn't see any ball movements in rocket's recent games.

It still puzzles me how so many players struggle from the charity strip. Isn't that one of the basic aspects of basketball?

If we were to make the switch for both, then Lebron is the only one I'm willing to give up for. Wade is good, but there is no way he can carry a team by himself. As for Kobe, as great as he is, he is up there in NBA mileage.

A lot of the team's problems lie with Yao as well. He has been soft at many times. He doesn't always play to his size. Smaller players and weak centers still push him around and front him. Yao should solidfiy his position the way Shaq did and quit letting the other guys push him out.
