I'm going to suggest that when any candidate/politician/leader is presented with the "facts" (i.e. the details of an issue based on what our intelligence or whatever says) that 98% of the time, regardless of who is in the White House, the same decisions will be made as they are probably the best decisions a person can make. So, if Obama is in office or McCain (or Bush or Clinton) and they are presented with an issue most of the time the same course of action will be chosen because it is the best course of action to take. Of course that doesn't mean that good things will always result since you can't control what other people do or how they will react nor is there always a "right thing to do" because every choice may lead to a bunch of negatives - you just hope that the choices you make will eventually lead to better things. Don't get me wrong, the SPIN on why the choices were made will be different based on who is in office (and how good the spinmeisters are) but the decisions will be the same. For example, a strong economy is your opportunity to raise taxes even if it's the "hardest thing you've ever done" or you've promised "no new taxes" but a in a weak economy you lower them regardless of what your party's line is on tax cuts. So, if Obama wins the election he is going to make decisions that seem contrary to the spirit of why some of you like him but realize that he's making the best decision he can given the circumstances regardless of what his political world view is. And the right will attack him for it as well as the far left but, most likely if McCain were in office (or Hillary or Bush or FDR) the same decision would probably be made. "Meet the new boss....same as the old boss...."
