Alright John! McCain Finally Rejects Hagee's Support -- Let's move on! And we won't be bringing up Wright anymore, right!?
Sounds like he's doing this in order to be unencumbered when he does bring up Wright. Cynically, it could be that Republicans suspect that Evangelicals will prefer McCain if they can make them distrust Obama more. Who better to set that off than the caricature of Rev. Wright?
So does anyone want to talk about how John will balance the budget by winning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by the end of his first term? It truly is amazing what this guy can get away with when he opens his mouth.
Sigh! Before getting too discouraged, I'm going to give him time to flesh things out and put some meat on the bones.
Here is one link. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/07/07/mccain_renews_balanced_budget.html
from your link Sorry A_3PO, I don't see how any of that wipes away the last 8 years of crazy spending. Especially after wanting to cut taxes again. But again the point is that the MSM just shrugs and no-one calls him on this stuff. BTW, isn't that statement alone an admission of a time table to end the war?
I'm not disputing how crazy it is for McCain's campaign to claim a balanced budget after only 4 years, especially if the Bush tax cuts are made permanent. I'm just giving them a little space to explain.
John McCain Town Hall Meeting on the Economy in Denver, CO today. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DsFJQ2kyRwA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DsFJQ2kyRwA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Yikes! Besides just being a horrible speaker, note the weird after sentence giggles and guffaws. scary...
Thanks for the link apostolic. I don't believe that he'll keep that promise though. Whether its his backpeddling or his growing number of former Bush admin advisors... I guess the Obama campaign suspects the Evangelicals are fair game this year, especially with McCain's chilly response about his personal religious beliefs and televangelist leaders. All Obama really needs is at least 40% of the religious vote to make a dent against the Republicans.
This is the reason it would be dangerous for John McCain to be anywhere near the oval office. McCain's Latest Iran Joke Responding to a question about a survey that shows increased exports to Iran, mainly from cigarettes, McCain said, "Maybe thats a way of killing them." http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/07/08/mccains_latest_iran_joke.html
I don't really follow politics of your country, but I read in an email that Mc'Cain had an extramarital affair with a black woman and it resulted in an out of wedlock child. The child is darker looking, almost a shade of black I would say from the picture I saw. But the Mc'Cains hide this daughter from the media and all press events. Is this true?
Sorry Brightside, it's not true at all. Although McCain does have an adopted child from Bangladesh. That rumor got started most likely from Karl Rove when W was running for president in 2000.
It really is creepy how noone talks about John McCain. I mean, no threads, no comments, nothing. weird So anyway, are we a nation of whiners? Is the downturn of the economy just in our heads? John?
Uhhhhgh. That made me uncomfortable. I actually feel sorry for him, money and position nonwithstanding.
My god... that e-mail is still going around? You have to be kidding! That's a slimy tactic used by George W. Bush against McCain 8 years ago in the South during the primaries. Bizarre that anyone would still ask about it or possibly believe it. No wonder it is hard to get good candidates to run for our highest elected office. Why would any sane person want to go through this crap? Impeach Bush/Cheney.
And so it was that later as the miller told his tale that her face, at first just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale
Did McCain Plagiarize His Speech on the Georgia Crisis? A Wikipedia editor notices some similarities between Sen. John McCain's speech today on the crisis in Georgia and the Wikipedia article on the country Georgia. They appear similar enough that most people would consider parts of McCain's speech to be derived directly from Wikipedia. Granted the third instance isn't as close as the first two, which seem quite obviously taken from Wikipedia. It should be noted that Wikipedia material can be freely used but always requires attribution under its terms of use. Whether a presidential candidate should base policy speeches on material from Wikipedia is another question entirely. http://blogs.cqpolitics.com/politicalinsider/2008/08/did-mccain-plagarize-his-speec.html hum.....
