People always talk about how the NBA should go back to the "tough and physical" type of plays from the 80s and such. I think soon enough our generation will miss these days when plays may have been a little flashy but players still backed it up with heart. Thanks for bringing me back.
SGs were amazing in the early 2000s Kobe, T-Mac, VC, AI, Manu, Franchise (I know he played the point but his style was so 2 guard) all in their primes.
The video made me realized, those early 2000 years was something special. There wasn't that almighty 1 superstar argument we have today (Lebron, Wade, Kobe), where it was balanced with numerous superstar players on each team. It was kinda of sad to see the end, how basically every star they showed is mostly a role player now. Agree with the ending with Yao in a suit, thats just depressing.....
Wow brought back sweet memories when the Rockets looked like an up-and-coming young team destined for greatness. All the stars seemed so spread out, but that was during an era where the East were irrelevant.. and everyone knew the Lakers were going to win it. Those Kings and Rockets team of the early 2000's were fun as **** to watch, weren't they?
they had the highest quality of all star games, those early 2000s..still rmb that dunk contest with VC Tmac and Stevie, also that MJ fade away shot over Jamal Mashburn to take the lead with a few seconds left then only J O'Neal fouled Kobe when he was faking a 3pt shot.. The part with Yao and Francis and Mcgrady makes me sad, all of them used to be hope of all Rockets fans..and we end up winning only 1 playoff series in the last decade + a few more years. Just feel sad how injuries can take down anybody.
Damn... Good video. AI - Sixers Vince Carter - Toronto T-Mac - Orlando Webber, Peja, Bibby - Sacramento Yao/Francis - Here in Houston Baron Davis - Charlotte Hornets(!) Garnett - T'Wolves Kobe/Shaq - LA Kidd - New Jersey Duncan/Parker/Ginobili - SA Dirk/Nash - Dallas Marbury - Minnesota, Phoenix Pierce/Antoine Walker - Boston Ray Allen - Milwaukee/Seattle Jermaine O'Neal - Indiana Very few things have remained the same. Maybe that's a good thing, maybe not. What hasn't changed: Kobe in LA, Parker/Ginobili/Duncan in SA, Dirk in Dallas, and Pierce in Boston.
Nice video, but your signature... Really? I mean I will reserve judgment about McHale until the full results are in, but is there anything about the team's play to date that warrants him being called "The worst coach in Rockets History." LMAO. Was that a knee-jerk post that you forgot to delete, or haven't you watched any games in the last three weeks?
I feel sad now, those days were so fun, Thought Carter and Mac were going to take Raptors to the Finals.
I hate watching videos like these. So many talented players that ended up in disappointment. All we can do is reminisce on the scattered memories that they left us, so they can always remain alive as the great players that they once were.
