Yes, he looked great last night...On paper, his numbers look good but I don't think we change his role...I think we get a starting pitcher for him once his confidence builds back up...
One nice thing about Lidge in his current role stems from the complaint about "why always save your best pitcher for the 9th?" If there's, for example, a bases-loaded situation in the 7th, you often want your best pitcher there, but teams save their closer. Well, now we can put Lidge in that type of role - great relief pitcher (if he sustains it) in the most critical points in the game.
I can agree with that logic...THe more pressure situation he's in the better...Practice makes perfect...
