I rank my list as this, and this is only by birds that I hav eaten: Dove, Quail, Chicken, Cornish Game Hen, Duck, Goose
That's correct and I've had some of the stuff you've mentioned in Singapore. Here's my list of weird foods A few variety of snails jellyfish turtle rattlesnake armadillo chicken feet duck heads (I didn't like the bills so I just bit the tongues out of them) fish heads (the cheeks are the best part) swallows nest ants alligator oxtail durian (the smelly fruit. you're not allowed to bring them onto buses or trains in Singapore and I've had them fresh, in icecream and in cookies) stinky tofu (its fried moldy tofu) pickled marsh grass Gefelte fish As far as regular foods that I like to eat in an odd way I used to like Dunkin Donuts a lot particularly the filled lemon or apple ones but I always enjoyed them if they sat in the fridge for about a day and got a little bit stale. I also like eating fishsticks with Sambal Blecang (chilli paste with fermented shrimp paste) The one weird thing I still haven't had but have been curious about is Lutefisk (cod preserved in lye). Its a traditional Scandinavian favorite that some of the old folks used to eat in MN but I haven't been able to find any.
I wouldn't say any of these are weird but just unusual: While going through elementary school all the way through high school, my lunch always consisted of a peanut butter and honey sandwich along with chips and cookies. I always got the impression that not many people had eaten those (they always favored peanut butter and jelly), but I thought they were good (obviously since I ate them for 12 years, lol). I also like from time to time put hot sauce on almost anything including potato chips. I also like using salsa with broiled chicken.
I do this and people at rest. think its weird, but I like it...I also just like mayo on my fries... The popcorn and tabasco I mentioned in another thread is good, but not sure how many do it or think its weird... I also dip my Mcdonalds fries in my McDonalds Vanilla shake...yummm....
Well now, that's just tasty. I like dipping goldfish (the little crackers) in ketchup. Sometimes I'll put goldfish in a bowl, squirt ketchup on top, and then stir them up and eat them with a spoon.
weird...? hmmm... ACID aka lysergic acid diethylamide-25 pretty darn weird indeed. also, i suppose MDMA can be pretty weird, too.
Yeah, I was just about to say this. I got to try some of this in Melaka last summer, very good stuff. In the same vein I thought overall Kuala Lumpur was one of the great (underappreciated) restaurant cities of Asia with the same variety as Singapore with lower prices.
When I watched "Laverne and Shirly" growing up and Laverne drank milk and Pepsi, we didn't have Pepsi so I drank milk and Sugar-Free Dr. Pepper.......yummy.
Once when I was a kid, I was at a friend's house and I ate one of his sister's birth control pills. I think it may have delayed the onset of puberty. It was like I took a gymnastics pill or something.
hell yeah they did...didn't you guys play oregon trail as a kid? this thread reminds me of anthony bourdain. dude will eat and enjoy anything and everything. fantastic show.
It's weird, but my sister and I are the only people that seem to like it. It's good to know that so many people here share my eclectic breakfast tastes, though. Oh yeah, anybody else put hot sauce on their popcorn? I love that little sizzle that it makes when it hits the popcorn...
I put hot sauce on my popcorn. I have always wondered why don't popcorn companies capitalize on this and bring out a hot sauce flavored variety.
