    Do you have empirical proof or are you just spouting anecdotal evidence? Are you saying every professional athlete uses supplements/pills?

    My point was that the people in charge, the doctors/trainers overseeing the athletes, don't recommend all that stuff. They're the ones with the proven medical/nutritional education.

    If athletes do take an excess amount of pills and other stuff its probably of their own accord. And they're not exactly trained to know whats scientifically proven and good for them. All the evidence of athletes putting illegal supplements in their body (knowingly or unknowingly) just reiterates that.

    Dan Riley (former Texan and Redskins S&C coach) was on the radio after the Duane Brown suspension. IIRC, he said they absolutely do not recommend supplements (other than maybe whey protein), but the athletes are educated to know what is safe for them -- for example, EAS marks all safe for NFL supplements with a goal post on the packaging.
