Did the police that shielded them use weapons on the bikers? Whether you agree with them or not, the protestors want to disarm the police, not eliminate them. They were not protesting the existence of police or asking that they not do their jobs.

I think you've misunderstood something. Anarchists aren't leftist at all.

This. If everyone did what the bikers did no one in this country would be free. Say what you want about people getting fired for their racist views but even those people weren't beat up for those views.

Libertarian and arch-conservatism relies on traditional mechanisms: like cultural hierarchy and gender roles, hereditary wealth and individualistic supply-side commerce; as the sole drivers of arbitration and resource allocation, with deliberate disregard for inevitable and starkly disparate advantages and outcomes between social groups.

Anarchism is averse to institutions and employs non-administrative processes, protests and direct action towards the disruption or dissolution of existing systems and structures. Since instability and discord inherently undermines the natural advantages of wealth and authority, anarchism in a capitalist society probably overlaps more with liberalism.

    He's not wrong.

Leftists(sic) want more government according to the GOP and their offshoots, whereas anarchists want NO government and no rules.

If you can't or won't see the difference then you are nothing more than a GOP shill.

Nothing wrong with that I suppose, but if that is the character you want to be in here, at least learn to how troll properly.

Everything is black and white to you. Its one side or the other. There is very little middle ground. You thrive on discord. If you dont understand the difference between anarchist and conservatives, you probably shouldn't go around labeling people.

So you have no problem with the confederate flag then:confused:

Wo, how did you come to that statement with what I wrote? I think you are projecting much.

No, I don't give a care about the Confederate flag. It has 0 impact to me. I understand why folks are upset about it. How they react to it is more impactful to me than the piece of fabric.

GlenDice is in over his head when starting threads of this nature in the D&D. Its pretty obvious he is focusing in on the irony of the protestors protesting against something they needed immediately. Reading past that is nonsense on either side.

There is further irony with the typical liberal gangbangers in this thread spouting off how the protestors have a right to free speech and the bikers infringed on their precious rights to free speech. However when you jump to the Westboro Baptist threads, these same liberal gangbangers are all about finding ways to silence their free speech.

At the end of the day, if you do something unwise (stupid), right or wrong; like burning a flag in front of a vet, or kicking a protestors ass, or protesting a soldiers funeral, accept the consequences for your actions.

Quite frankly, the arrogance on both (or all) sides has grown very old and stale. Nobody is always right. And a stopped clock is right twice a day. These days, both sides resemble the stopped clocked.

Is this a consensus republican opinion or just your own?

Because this narrative seems to change a lot depending on the party that should "accept the consequences."

Orrrr this narrative; "I am liberal, I disagree with you, so therefore that makes you a Republican".

The liberal posters here tend to take themselves too serious. The conservatives posters schtick is at least amusing to watch as it gets all the liberals panties in a wad.

So you admit that most of modern conservatism is a parody of itself.

Except he's wrong. They weren't protesting something they needed immediately because they weren't protesting the police.

What? Westboro Baptist generates equal opportunity condemnation.

It's funny that you talk about arrogance and how things are done on both sides but then use pejoratives for one side like "liberal gangbangers". That does not seem particularly in line with your supposed disgust with the quality of discussion of other posters.

This group WAS protesting the police, it was stated on the groups facebook page.

and I find ironic how quickly narrative changes when it doesn't fit the liberal agenda. Would liberal say the same thing with the mosque protesters?

Ok, let's get some things clear.

Classical anarchism is not "no government" but is libertarian socialism where limited governments organise themselves in smaller groups of direct democracy.

Modern capitalistic anarchism/libertarianism wants limited government organised through corporate market-driven systems.

Historically, anarchists were leftists but since about the 1970s there has been a movement of "anarchists" who are extreme capitalists. Just labelling someone an anarchist is not really descriptive anymore because it could mean either of the above or the more ignorant "anarchism = people who just want chaos" tag that usually gets thrown about.

Yeaaaahhhh ... until you look up the word "anarchy" in the dictionary Its pretty cut and dry in its definition. Anarchy doesnt mean chaos. Its means no government. If large groups do not have a form of government, it will result in chaos.

The anarchists were not "burning a flag in front of a veteran." That was never their intention. The veteran and his bike gang showed up to intimidate and attack the anarchists because they posted their plan online.

That veteran is a moron. No one should be willing to die for a particular flag. It's a part of the idiocy of being in a bike gang--privileging a symbol over any meaning.

We are not sending troops to the Middle East to play capture the flag. Clearly these morons don't care about the Constitution or the values behind the flag.

Ok, let's just ignore history and political theory and go with dime store dictionary definitions. You win.

...seems no one want the anarchists.

As an aside....my school had an "anarchist club." Is that an oxymoron?
